I bought the only 2 on the shelf, didnt ask staff if there was any more just incase it was a misprice. Gonna pop back down there in a bit just incase they've restocked the shelf.
Fingers crossed:thumbsup:

Good luck with selling them on ?bay
May not be such a bargain if you keep them once you start buying HP cartridges.
#4
There's none in Stockport, just phoned up and not on the website either.
#5
Fairly mixed user reviews on Amazon and quite unusual to see a white printer nowadays. Presumably it's quite an old model.
#6
It is an old model, but still an excellent printer. AMAZING price for £25. Fantastic price.
#7
I just got the last one from Prescot. Cheers OP
#8
We have this & love it and its matched our funky hp white pc lol
#9

Actually the ink for this is the cheapest of all printers on the market of all brands.

Nearly all HP Photosmart printers released in the last 2 years are white including the brand new range and that includes a few of the new Brother printers so to say it's unusual tells me that you dont get out much! :whistling:

I have one of these. Best printer I've ever owned. The fact that it has an ethernet port means you just need to connect it to your router and it just works.

No worries, i been to 2 other stores with no joy. Must be old stock. I think the carts are quite reasonable too. For ppl who do find one i think it is really good for the price.

Whilst I agree with the first part of your post, I've gotta say that your idea of getting out more might differ to other folks'!
Personally, when I want to get out I don't often head off to check out printers... :p

Do you mean I don't get out much looking around Tesco, Comet or PC World's shelves? I can handle that.

This a beast of a machine though. I took it out of the box and was shocked at the size! I'm sure there's a double-entendre in there :)

I'd of had one of these in a flash if it was online. I've got one of the little brothers to this and I love it.

The printing of images seems quite poor quality on mine. Will give it a few more goes to see if it improves
#30
Not a bad deal. I am using it. It is a reliable printer but the inks are not as cheap as epson or brother compatibles. The speed is a bit slow though. I bought it from PC World for £10 about 8 months ago. It was a ex-demo unused and still got plastic covers and everything. Asked the manager and got the power supply. Price matched the ink with Amazon price at the time. Registered with HP and got 12 months standard warranty.

The best results I've seen from mine come from HP's own range of paper. Especially when trying to get higher resolution. I get nice 100 packs of hp A4 photo semi gloss over at amazon for a tenner.

I do miss the days of £1.60 ink cartridges without any chips on them. I used to bang out hundreds of A4 prints on my old Canon Pixma for so little money I hardly noticed it as a cost, until it went to the great printer graveyard in the sky. :(

If you strike luck with a compatible company that are using great ink, that's a huge plus, but compatibles can ruin printers. I've lost a few to compatible ink.

No matter what brand it is, ALL the original inks are a big scam. It's a terrible state of affairs with home printing.

When I print from card onto the glossy paper supplied, I get terrible bands of colour across the picture. The same is true of clipart etc when printed on plain paper. It looks like the heads aren't aligned, but the align test says they're OK, as it is all automatic.

I'm temped to get it back to Tesco, but as a networked B & W printer, it is a really good deal

I only get that banding you're talking about when printing in the fast draft mode. If you're getting it with the printer settings set to normal or best, It sounds like a problem with the ink. You could try head cleaning, ramp up the settings to best quality and see if that helps.

Are you using genuine inks or compatibles? If compatible, what brand are they? If none of the above helps and you're using genuine ink, a replacement unit looks like the way to go.

Man, printer problems suck.
#35
I have this printer and its great. I use it with mac's and pc's via the network port. Works for scanning too.

One fault I have with it is the poor automatic print quality it seems to go to draft unless you specify best or maximum. So the person having problems with printing photo's make sure you've set that. All the ones I've printed are great. The little photo paper tray is great.
#36
None at my local store,,,, BARGIN though.

Thanks for th einfo.

I'll try it tonight and see if that is the problem. The inks I am using are the genuine ones that came with it.

My Tesco had the packs with ink & paper too for £32

They re giving these printers away BUT makin massive profits on ink !!

Hello

I got one of these for half price in January from Tesco's Lewisham £49 down from £99 and it is a fantastic printer. It has 6 individual inks so you can save more money as you old need to replace them as they run out.

Would recommend this to anyone just for every day printing or top quality photographs its excellent. This is the best bargin I have seen on here ever !

IF YOU SEE ONE BUY IT THIS IS THE BARGIN OF THE YEAR

Cheers
