Bought one of these last year to replace my Brother all in one and it's been fantastic.Wireless is a doddle to set up and so far my only criticism is the ink cartridges that come with it dont last long 50 - 60 pages at best but you can buy a full set of compatibles for £8 so it's not a big deal.

Shame this isn't one of the new HP ePrint printers.
#6
CD printing?
#7
Same as Gary's point, if only this offered the CD printing option, good deal anyway

I've also brought this printer, and it's a cracking little unit that really does look the part and has great wireless functionality..

Yeah thats right, buy a quality printer and then go and use compatibles..... Then post that printer didn't last long and quality was poor.

I was after a wireless printer last week.

I ended up with this one @ £64.70

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00292X5IQ/ref=oss_product

I must say its a great printer. It came with photo paper and printing from SD card to photo paper was a doddle and picture was great.

Its a shame I should have posted it on here as price is now back to £90.50

Your a printer salesman's dream! I bet you buy all your cartridges from PC World!(Would you like an extended warranty with that ink cartridge sir?).You dont work for Lexmark do you? I've used compatibles in every printer we've ever had, I've refilled cartridges and I've even used continous ink systems and never had a problem, for people that do have problems it's usually because they dont read the instructions and dont replace the cartridges correctly,on this model the cartridges are chipped and it's just a case of removing the chip from the empty cartridge and fitting it on the new one very easy to do.Photo quality printing is excellent and text is also good and very fast.It comes with the usual "bloatware" from HP but you can just install the basic drivers and dump the rest.As I said in an earlier post I've just had 2 full set's of compatibles cartridges delivered for £17 replaced one set this morning and working perfectly.

Edit. This model only uses 4 cartridges the 3 colours and the Black, it DOSENT use a Photo Black cartridge so if you've bought the set of 5 you've bought the wrong set. These are the ones I bought and they're fine - Ebay item no.390184416678 The set mentioned by Mamboboy are from the same seller but are a set of 5 cartridges 3 colours, 1 black and 1 photo black, this is the WRONG set and wont fit this model. One other thing to mention is this model loads the paper from the front so it's ideal if you have limited space.

I don't think there's any problem with using compatible inks, I've used them in my printer for 6 years and it's been fine up til now and probably saved about £300!

Been looking into getting a wireless printer for a while now and narrowed it down the HP C4780,
Epson Sx515w and I guess now this.
Does anyone know what the best one is. Which has the longest lasing ink, cheapest ink?
Can you for example on any of them continue using black ink when the colour has run out?

Think that all I need to know :)

I can recommend the HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-one which has similar specs plus CD printing, auto doc feeder / photocopier, duplex, fax, all memory cards, scan to usb pen, 5 inks etc - usually around the £125 upto £250 mark but got a deal recently for £112 delivered. Now back upto £120 mark best price.

Best to "google products" it for more details.
http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&q=hp+premium+fax&cid=15871233868982695176#

Oh and it was a "Which?"best buy / recommended not too long ago.
#23
Remember to check if they come with a printer cable as most don't. Think it's called 'USB A to B' normal USB one end, chunky square USB the other end.
#24
i got this for £10 when i bought my imac from apple.

Staples have the same HP printer, but with a full set of ink for £84.77, which I think is better value oh and the Premium one also with the ink for £108.60

yes Staples deal is better and 10% quidco for Staples too.
#26
but the staples prices are EX. VAT, so would make it £102.10, just so people are aware, maybe still the better deal considering inks and quidco though.
#27
thank you SHOWMAN36 telling were you can buy the right ink, dose anyone known is there video on the Internet showing how can you remove the chip from the empty cartridge and fitting it on the new one,

gone up to £84-99 at dixons

Just brought this printer from PC World for £99 but this price also includes an additional Black and a photo value pack which incs the 3 other colour cartridges. The extras are a HP promo. Some stores aren't displaying the deal and you have to ask the store to check.

The printer does comes with the USB cable. I also used quidco this as a pickup from store.

yes this is a hp eprint printer, it says so on the hp.com website , it is connected to the internet and has its own email address. you just simply attach a photo to an email and send it to the printers email address and it prints off the photo .
