This is about the normal selling price over the last few months, i.e. around £120-£130
Its actually being on offer for cheaper if you include HP discounts.

Not many offers out there at the moment on printers - but this isn't a 'real' half price offer.

Good price for an excellent printer. Heat added.

You'll end up paying more for the ink cartridges than yo did for the printer!!

Tell me any printer that is different!

Great system, is still listed in many places as £200 plus so heat added.

Thanks for this nearly went and got this reserved one early this morning, I see the price has gone back up on the HP web site.

Most printer are 'different' because you can easily get compatible cartridges, but not this one so you have little choice but to pay HP's extortionate prices.

Why would I want to make sure it is compatible with an old OS that I don't use?

Look fo a 2nd hand Laser, preferably a single pass model- Indicated by the Mono and Colour print speeds being the same. See what is local to you on ebay as they are difficult to ship without the original packaging. I'd be looking at the Konica Minolta Magicolor 5400 series, they deliver a good quality print output and the cartridges can be refilled. The HP 4600/4650 are good as well.

Canon printer have cheaper consumables. Their ink cartridges have THREE times the capacity of the HP ink cartridges yet are much cheaper. Also, for the Canon you can buy continuous ink systems.

AND I have a HP C7280, which I love very much, but the cost of the inks makes me groan. Majority of the compatible inks are not very good at all. I have used several and none of them match the HP by any stretch of the imagination.
