I wonder if these support the 45nm Xeons Quads? Scan has a good range of them in stock and the 2.5GHz 12MB cache chips are £210 a pop. Install two of those and sell the 1.6s and you have the base for a serious rendering machine for about £750.

Not bad except for the fact you have to Buy the 2nd CPU and then claim it back.

That and they are out of stock on the 2nd cpu :x

Whoops looks like they order them on request.
But the CPU costs nearly as much as the server!
