This is a decent scanner, but one word of caution. If you have Internet Explorer 7 (even if you don't use it) the HP software will not allow you to connect to the internet. I have one of these scanners and had to find an alternative HP scanner software that will run with IE7. If you buy this scanner and find problems, download COL10861.exe from Hp's site (it is 244mb so forget it if you still don't have Broadband). HP know that this is a problem with IE7 but don't have any fixes. I am still not happy with the scanner, since the software takes up a lot of space on Harddrive, and am going to get an Epson in near future.
