Just in - this may not appeal to everybody but it seems a great bargain. Great for students etc. This isn't discounted but it's a laptop with full Windows and Office for £180. Read More

just got one from HP when they had an offer on and its lovely. Heavier than a chrome book but full office 365 makes up for that in my opinion plus 6 hour battery! This is the standard price for them. Hot though.

its a tablet with attached keyboard right?

The 11" model actually is better spec. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-xgNlp-L7A

I have this and it's a great laptop. Has a good quality feel to it as well; feels a lot better than other laptops I've seen for more money. Battery life is great, and doesn't have any fans so it's completely silent. Only thing that lets it down is viewing angles on the screen, which can be poor but not a deal breaker. Also comes with a voucher for £20 on windows app store in the box which I don't think is advertised anywhere.

In the same way that a tablet is a laptop without an attached keyboard.

No, it's essentially a netbook* with a 32GB SSD, cause you're meant to use onedrive for your storage but you can use an external HDD no problem, and with proper Windows it's a very good option for who this is aimed at ie students and people who's computer needs is like students (web and docs)
(*Netbook is probably a little harsh because CPU tech has moved on since netbooks of yesteryear)

Is office preinstalled or do you get a code with it?
#11
Does it have disc drive?

I see a lot of 12"/13" chromebooks bestowed with the latest wireless spec 802.11ac (upto 3x faster than the 802.11n ) ....but every deal involving compact laptops, only ever have 802.11 b/g/n wireless card fitted ...& this lappy is no different. I guess I'll just have to hang on until the next generation of budget laptops hit the shops.

Or you could just upgrade the included card to an ac model if it's user upgradable.

Not meaning to dis this post as these look like decent little laptops but the RRP is £179, so technically this is over the normal selling price.
HP Stream

Also buying directly from the HP Store gets you 4.04% cashback from TopCashBack.

Not knocking this offer, just trying to enhance it.

If you can access the HP Student Store these are £159 which is a great price, might have to pick one up for use in the library at university

EDIT: it is £159 but has a 3-4 week delivery time

Good points lnb1996. The HP store doesn't have them in stock which is why I put the Currys link in. However, I didn't notice the slight price difference and didn't know about cash back so some people might be happier to wait and save a few quid, as well as buy direct from HP. Cheers.

If it helps anyone, I bought one from the HP store on Cyber Monday. It was predicted to be delivered on 23rd December at the earliest, but arrived yesterday.
#22
I just order one yesterday and looking forward to It :) I am just after a basic laptop to do my stuff on It.
#23
Can you really only get these in blue and pink? Both look horrible (only in my personal opinion). If they had a normal black one I would have got one for uni. I don't object to these colours providing they make one that doesn't stand out so much.

I've just got a twitter back from knowhow about my order and said. Due to high volumes - standard deliveries have been delayed. Your order is due to be dispatched. My apologies, Matt. Just to let you guys know.
