On a comet spree for some reason today, they seem to have a ton of new deals live. This one is ridiculous, I cant find this model cheaper than £47.99 (laskeys) anywhere, but Comet are doing it for £34 and provide collect at store.
Quidco for +3% cashback means this cost = £32.98 (Pretty sure this makes it the lowest priced multi function wireless printer in the UK today).

Anyone know if this will support apple airprint?

Deal was posted a couple of days ago for Epson sx515w which might be a better option for cheap compatibles. Printer from comet was £49. I just bought 2 full sets of cartridges from ebay for £5.50 for that printer.

I think the cartridge cost on this will be high so it will be much more expensive than the Epson in the long run

+1 as its the best price out there for this printer
#14
They've got on Amazon a twin pack of colour and black cartridges for under £17 for original ink so not too bad :-)
#15
the genuine black ink is £15 for this printer, or £25 for colour and black

its also £39.99 at currys (or £35 using the £5 vouchers)

£8.99 for black from Misco
£10.96 at Amazon for colour

Considering my current lexmark costs me £18 for black and £24 for colour, I'd say that makes this printer good value for money in the longer term too. In fact, for the cost of replacing my back and colour inks, I can instead buy this printer, which is what I have done lol
#17
I have found out that the catridges you can get cheap, Around £9 and £10 for black and colour.

Depending on how much you use it you dont get many pages per cartridge.

black under 100 pages .
#18
Get the ink off eBay. Anywhere else and you should make an appointment to see your GP immediately.
#19
I presume (as is usually the case with HP) that the cartridges cost more than the printer, and compats are impossible to find, chipped anyways ?
HP good printers but a colossal rip off cartridge wise
Whats the point of buying something where cartridges last a couple of weeks ?
#20
Is it good? I can't find any reviews for it? I'm thinking of going for the epson sx515 deal at 50 quid but if this gets good review then might consider this.

See my comment a few up. Cartridges are reasonably priced.

Printer is available from Amazon for £35.99 if you prefer to use them

Amazon

3 colour cartridges are such a waste - but that is a good price for a wireless printer.
#24
I think I saw this one in my local Sainsburys yesterday for £34 odd.

Going there later, so I'll check the price and model number again.
#25
Beware of the ink cartridge! They bleed your blood!
#26
Good price for a Wifi enabled printer. This is available at Bestbuy for £39.99. Going by their price match promise, you can knock down another 60p on price (Free delivery too). Quidco cashback too is 10% for bestbuy against 3% for comet........ ;-)

#28
possibly to get it under 30quid if you use currys price match and the £5 voucher!
#29
can someone publish 5-year running costs of all current printers cheers
#30
I thought HP printers reject compatible ink cartridges? My f2280 will not print unless Hp's are used.
#31
dont currys price match with 10% off too? if so that will make a better deal if in stock
#32
same at dixons with free delivery
#33
Just picked up from Currys for £26. Price matched against currys to £31 then used the £5 discount coupon you get from there instore books. its on HUKD somewhere in the past week

Don't be daft - who would have access to all the printers on the market to test them? Models change every year. There would be hundreds to test.

Even if somebody did test all of the printers available, running costs will depend how much you use them and how much you leave them switched on and how often you clean them. On some printers the cleaning cycle can use a lot of ink - but that's unlikely to be measured by any page printing comparison. On a 3-colour cartridge it will also depend on whether or not you use one colour a lot more than the others (for example if your daughter prints loads of Barbie pink pictures - voice of experience there!).

There's no measure which would keep everybody happy and all of the manufacturers fiddle their own figures by only quoting ideal conditions - ie draft mode, 5% coverage and one cleaning cycle per set of cartridges.
#35
Great price, voted hot!
#36
Good price, but HP is rubbish when it comes to printers. The ink runs out too quickly and cost around £15. Oh and the quality is crap!
#37
For that price I'd be changing my printer when ever the ink runs out!

Well that's what I do already but I don't have a wifi one....hmmm

Sorry if this is against the rules...

do you mind giving me the name of the member you purchased them from?
#39
Also ink cost can depend on how much ink is in the cartridge. My friend used to buy epson carts at £5 each with 4ml of ink content, whereas my hp carts were £12 but had 30ml of ink. So beware and compare carefully.

I have a HP Photosmart C3180 and i have a mare getting ink. 4 out of 5 times comaptable ink wont work or is crap. I cant wait to get rid of mine and get an Epsom. I have hardly used it as the ink is so expensive. I save the ink for special occasions lol
