amazing price!

Got one of these when £10 more and was great value then.... is useful and time saving. If you've got a compatible laptop (check list on earlier posts) then suggest going for it!
#4
As above, if you have a compatible laptop, it's an absolute bargain for the spare 90w AC adaptor which is included and the sound through the built in speakers system excellent too.

Thanks.

Yes it does and there is an adaptor for large or small expansion slots

So if you cant get the hd add on and it dosnt come with the wireless desktop accessories what exactly is the point of this ?
#15
Bit of a silly question but can someone tell me how big the box this comes in is?

That's whats stopping me getting this, gutted I missed out on the home delivery option. Don't really fancy carrying it back home on the tube.

Yeah the size of the box would take a 17" laptop and it's fairly heavy too, nice piece of kit though if you can use it.

For more info here is the manual from HP: -

will this work on my hp compaq 6715b, if i buy it and it does not work would pc world let me return it.
#21
It dosnt come with any of the wireless accessories so to me it seems useless. Itds just a stand / docking station for the laptop :?

If it came with the wireless mouse and keyboard I would see the benefit...

Anyone know how much the box approximately weighs?

Missed home delivery, the store aint that far, but if its over 5kg, I'd struggle carrying it home!
#23
no wonder, it has not keyboard and mouse, the price would have been more.
#24
I can't remember the wight as I had my car with me, I'd say > than 5kg

Don't know the weight, but you can easily carry it with one hand.

Hmmm, what connections are there on it? Any chance this would be compatible with a Dell 1530M?

I mean - if it's inbuilt speakers and the like; surely it'd be a simple Jack lead? AC adapter may well be different (I could always eBay it off.) The stand should work with any laptop? USB sockets... ? *shrugs*
#27
Theres a special lead on it to connect it to Hp laptops, no speaker jack or what not.
#28
unexpired as it's still available

Will be fine, more watts does not make a difference, it just means its a bit more heavy-duty

Thanks to Bookie, got one today for my wife, she is pleased with it, only one lead to connect / disconnect. Works great!

Thanks!

I got it last time round when £30 - I would seriously recommend taking a car to get it!! I carried it for about half an hour to an hour, it is a big box, and after a few minutes feels incredibly heavy!!

The speakers on it are superb, made my music that much nicer - it seemed to free up room on my desk to just having the laptop plonked on it - because the base isnt as deep as the laptop is (and it holds the laptop off the desk) - only quible is that I couldnt easily use laptops track pad with it in dock, as it is covered slightly with the base - but thats an easy fix with another mouse etc

As for what use is it? It is 1 wire into laptop, and in box is a second power pack, keep 1 pack attached to this base, and other in a laptop bag etc. connect the wired things to your laptop (printers, external hard drives etc ) to the base ports instead, then when you need to take your laptop away, just unplug the expansion port and it is free to go where ever, then plugs straight back in to the base when your back
