Been looking for something like this. Am I rght to think this will stop the "Copy protected" message on the DVD recorder and it refusing to record?! (I.e. remove Macrovision).

Not sure why this is cold. These used to be £40+ a while back. Yeah, it will remove macrovision and make the VHS look like a home movie/TV recording (ie. no protection).

What quality does it convert Video into DVD, is it DVD quality exactally?

Hmmm... this particular one has got some hit and miss reviews. The one I used to use simply recorded it as it was the VHS. VHS will never be DVD quality, but it was as good as the VHS.

Yeah as many good as there is bad. Unsure whether to buy now as the £14 could be put towards one that *does* work.
