Good value for a machine if you know what you are doing

Best off getting a Magnaclean. Powerfushing is very rarely necessary. Plumbers will lie to you and say you need to power flush validate the boiler warranty. Power flushing is the number one way plumbers rip off customers. If this machine doesn't come with magnets don't waste your money, find one with magnets.

.

Please read your boiler manual if you are getting a new one fitted it will state 'Failure to flush and add inhibitor to the system will invalidate the appliance warranty'.
If you understood what you are talking about you would realise the difference between flush and powerflush. No boiler manufacturer requires a power flush, the British Standard does not even require a powerflush. Manufacturers require the system to be cleaned to ensure no damage occurs to the boiler.

I never mentioned powerflush.also Manufacturers instructions overrule British Standards

They are not a waste of money. Magna Clean is good, but if your system is heavily sludged up then a Magna clean wont always shift is. Magna clean is good if you have a decent flow and return. But if its really blocked or restricted then the water will just take the easiest route bypassing the blockage.

If you use the power flush with good chemicals then they are very good value for money.

I do agree with plumbers ripping you off though and just suggesting a power flush.

Anyone decent power flush should take a min of at least 4 hours for a small system.
A power flusher without magnets is a joke really. No reputable powerflusher would use one. On top of that you would want to be using a radiator vibrator on an sds drill to make sure you get all the sludge out. If the system really needs powerflushed there is no point doing a half assed job.

I have used this system before on my parents system and a friends....Restored their system fine. So not really a half arsed job. A magna Clean one is a better system am not doubting that but they can cost a few quid more.
This is £84 for 4 days then u could buy the magna clean to add on to the system for £85.

If you can find a magna clean one for a similar price let me know.
A Magnaclean is not a replacement for a power flush. Anyone who has neglected their system to the extent that it has stopped working they clearly need a power flush. In 10 years of doing this I have only encountered a handful of occasions flushing has been necessary. We only use flushers with magnets and always vibrated the rads at the same time.

Does anyone know which is better, this or the rug doctor one please?

A Rug doctor has a oscillating brush to scrub the carpet, so I'd expect it to clean better.
You can get this cheaper at your local independant tool hire shop. Also throw some washing powder in it give it a stir and you are ready to go

Good weekend rate. Do you have to pay for cleaning solution?

Optional, think its £6 odd for 12 litre.

Alternatively, get some of this stuff from Home Bargain http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/astonish-vac-maxx-machine-carpet-shampoo-0-89-home-bargains-1783254#post20501721

no price, poor description - sorry, but cold.

I do apologise. Even though I included the prices, a little description and even a link to a video on how to operate it.
Are these as good as the Rug Doctor ones? Just have one room to do but I've never used a carpet cleaner before so need something simple :)

Edit: just seen extra info added that answers my question - thank you!

plus VAT?
I've used this before on my house and a car we bought and smelt of dog. cleaned the ford galaxy very easily and it took the smell away. I would recommend but I haven't tried rug doctor so can't compare.
I used one of these last year on cream carpets and was pleased with the results. Very easy to use and a bargain at this price. It does a lot of coverage either though it mentions that it is small - the machine itself is quite big! Doesn't take too long to dry either. Would certainly recommend. Although not ever used the rug doctor before.
Much better off with a rug doctor than these. I find the rug doctor is quicker, and does a much better job!
are these any good our carpets could do with good clean
