I know WP7 is not for everyone but a good price for this phone, if you get the cashback from quidco it brings the price down to £262.15

The Orange website has 15% off for 48hrs but this shows as having £110 off, not sure if this is a mistake as that works out at a little over 25% off?

so windows 7 mobile is selling as well as the rumours say it is.

Its a shame as its a nice phone from the 15 minutes I've played with one.
#2
can u unlock it ?
#3
Bro-in-law has one, the UI is very nice even though it's a pure rip off of Android and iPhone. Still love my OSF in terms of VFM though this is a good price for a newly releases phone.

£36 quidco on Orange PAYG phones over £150

#6
plus you get this: giftbox

Are you joking? its nothing like Iphone or even Android for that matter how can you possibly say a grid of icons which are fully static is the inspiration to the living/alive UI of windows phone thats just crazy, Iphones UI is extremely old and boring now not a patch on Windows Phone 7, Android is feature rich but again not a patch on the smoothness and ease of use of windows 7, IMO

My girlfriend has an android phone which i think is great but even she admits its not as nice to use as my Omnia 7

#14
I'm not a WP7 fan, but this feels much nicer in the hand than the desire.

unlock possible or rebel sim only?
#18
Hi everyone, I'm not English so I don't know how to get quidco cashback. I already have quidco account but do not know how to receive the cashback. Please instruct me in detail to get this.
I also know the topcashback.co.uk , it says it's better than quidco, is that right and does it work the same as quidco
In addition, If I just want to buy this phone and get the pay and go sim ( no long term contract) which tariff should I choose, money, dolphin, salary....
Thank you so much

Luckily i dont have any :)
I do look after my phones but they seem to have a built in self destruct which activates after a year. My sony satio is starting to play up. tbh the software is rubbish from the start but it seems to be freezing and showing gliches on a daily basis.
All i want is a decent camera phone that will last and allow me to update my twitter profile.

i did check out the reviews on this phone im kinda put off from users reporting low battery life.

You just have to sign in to topcashback or quidco and follow a link from one of those sites to the orange store. Once you are there, find the phone and the deal you are after and proceed as normal to buy the item. In a short time the transaction will be "tracked" by the cashback sites which will inform you of the next stage of the process. I would advise clearing your cookies from your browser before you do this.

As for what tariff to choose I would say dolphin. As its a smartphone it will need constant access to the internet and dolphin seems to be the only tariff offering free internet.

Quidco are offering more cashback than Topcashback in this deal from what I saw. Log into Quidco, search for Orange, click the button taking you to the Orange site. Look up the handset in the shop section and purchase. Hopefully the cashback will track, and it'll be paid to you in a couple of months time (providing you've provided bank/paypal details to Quidco for payment). They still take the first £5 of your earnings each year as far as I'm aware, as the fee for using the service.

Apparently reverts to type / locked !

Windows have rally stole a march on And/App by securing their marketplace and devices.

The WM7 looks very slick and provides an alternative to the big 2 -which are common and boring -, especially after Maemo's death.
#28
I'm on the fence big time, I'm so tempted despite all the silly issues with WP7.
#29
can we unlock it ?

A Desire HD plus a 32gb micro sd card would cost at least £500 on payg, so not a fair comparison price-wise, also the Desire HD is Android, not Windows Phone 7. :|

Yes, because storage space is all that matters when judging a phone afterall.
#33
I have both a Desire on Android and a Mozart on WM7. Battery life on the Mozart is no worse/better than any other large touchscreen phone. It's less customizable but the interface is very slick. Once the Marketplace improves it'll be a great alternative to Android and the iPhone.

WP7 is the way to go, IF and thats a BIG IF, if this will be your debut smartphone. Why?

If you have an iPhone, your only upgrade path IS iPhone unless your willing to lose your purchases! Less of course you have money to burn.

Andriod definitely has the edge on WP7 at the moment but I see that changing in the near future as the number of developers go onboard. The features that are on offer with MS will truly be hard to compete against -

MS Office on-the-go, Free cloud, XBbox Live, Best exchange integration...Did i mention UI...sublime

Oh and one other point...u could get these a little cheaper on fleabay if one desires. BNIB

i just got a pay monthly mozart 7; in my view the good points are:
1. very good UI better then iphone or android
2. good speakers
3. decent apps available;i bet will be more there once windows phone 7 kicks up strong;
4. very good user experience;
bad points:
1. cant connect to hidden wifis
2. cant restore backup delete sim contacts ina straight forward manner;
3. basic functionality of phone is missed ie to take control of sim we cant anymore;

but otherwise i am loving this phone.....

To be fair you said the phone was crap just because it only had 8GB storage, it isn't crap because of that, if its not enough storage for your needs that fair enough doesn't make the phone crap though. I have the Omnia 8GB got all my music on i need and pictures etc and got 1.44GB left some people don't need loads of space.
