Should be in a few weeks. T-Mob have already said the Desire HD will be available for free on a £40 per month two year contract in Oct.

Aren't these the cheaper to make super-LCD screen desires as opposed to the amoled screen version.

'Free' @ £40 per month - hardly free I'd say. That's £960 over 2 years.

I'm still running my T Mobile Pulse on Vodafone with Android 2.1 and my contract is £8.50 month for 300 mins, unlimited texts and 500 mb month internet.

If you're happy to pay £960 over two years to have this phone then fair enough - but don't think you're getting it for free.

I know what you mean. My Desire is on a £15 a month contract. That's still £360 over 2 years. I shudder at the thought of some people paying nearly £500 a year for a phone. Then again, it could be worse. £500 a year for an iPhone 4 AND £500 up front. Bonkers!

The OP's deal isn't bad though. The Desire is being called an 'old' phone because the HD is due soon, but the HD doesn't do that much more than the original. And the original is still only 6 months old.

Just spoke to Voda, the best they could offer me for the above was £40 per month and £75 one off payment :(
