hot for the phone, cold for the network

quite a good phone, network is rubbish though. May be worthwhile seeing what price plan the newer HTC model is coming out on, not 2 sure how people will feel being stuck with a "old" phone for the next 16-17 months

I took an upgrade last week with Orange, got free Desire, 1200min, unlimited texts, "unlimited" internet, 25£ on 18 months contract. Quite happy for that kind of minutes :)

What network is any good? Most ppl [email protected] Orange & O2 off for their data coverage and Vodafone only allow 500mb on their data plans unless you pay an arm and a leg.

The new Desire HD will be £10 more per month if you want it for free, albeit with double the minutes.

Surprised at the temperature given it's the cheapest deal for this phone on this network by £80!

All this "network is rubbish" b0llocks makes me laugh... have been with T-Mobile for over 12 months now and never had a problem

Name me one other network that includes 3GB internet allowance at no extra cost....?

Name me one other network that will do an equivalent (new) contract at this price?

All these people slating T-Mobile, what other amazing mobile network are you on.... every network has its knockers...

The WHOLE of the Isle of Mull, in its entirety. Most of Yorkshire, especially any bits with hills. Large swathes of Lincolnshire, including all of its coastline except Skegness. Nottinghamshire, except Nottingham. All of those areas, and quite a few more I can't be bothered to mention, are massive black holes for the T-Mobile network with this phone. Anyone suggesting T-M are no worse than any other network is either a shareholder trying to perpetuate the myth, or lives in a city centre and doesn't stray more than two miles from his house.
I got the Desire free earlier this year as one of the customers affected by no 3G on the Hero who phoned up and complained and demanded the Desire as a replacement. For once TM did something to help the customer, because they forgot to send me a bag to return the Hero in so I flogged that down at CEX :o)
