cheap for a reason, terrible network from my experience
#2
£480 total paid

£380ish phone sim free (mobilefun after cashback)

So with £48 cashback (i think) £52 for 2years of 300mins or text and unlimited net etc.

If you aren't a heavy user that isn't bad... the catch: it's Three

Earliest delivery 18th June

Phoned 3 yesterday! Mine came today! great offer for me as i am a light user. They said it was not in stock and tried to sell me an iphone for £35 a month! I told them to forget about it and hung up, they phoned me back 2 hrs later with an available HTC desire + 4 gig card!
#5
HTC seem to have a good marketing/product and supply problem, I just hope they deal with it properly and fast.

+1, speaking for my in-law a total disaster when you're a joiner by trade, you move a mile away and can't receive incoming calls due to no signal.
#7
I've just been offered (and accepted) £22.50 a month for a HTC Desire on T-Mobile, 900 mins, 500 texts unlimited internet (3gb allowance fair usage) with unlimited landline calls. Quite unbeatable this deal but they only offered me this because I had requested my pac code so it wont be available to everyone
#8
how have you managed to get that price? I can only get it at £25
#9
Im with 3, I can only get a 3 signal in my house, my bro has O2 and has no signal!

Anyway all I can say in my experience the network is decent but let down by those plonkers in the call centre!

That is a cracking deal. At least T-Mobile tried to keep you, I rang 02 and after not liking the offers she gave me requested my PAC, didn't offer anything else, didn't bother trying to match the T-Mobile offer I had found, so I was off.

That's some deal.

Is that over a new 24 months?
#12
Yeah it is 24 months. I had previously only been offered £35 a month by them for 600 minutes but the following day after I had requested a pac code, they phoned me up and offered me that great deal to keep me

good signal but terrible customer service you can never find anyone to talk to that talks English and they read a script all the time.
and every answer is no

rubbish signal where I live and work, perfect with o2 though
#14
Excellent price and given the handset, best network for it... that's occording to OFCOM, not just me!
#15
Deal does not display for me, only the internet text 500 or 900 avalible?

hi im due for an uograde soon may i ask how long you have been with tmobile and what tariff you were on before?
#17
The HTC desire is going to be the must have phone of 2010.

It's a truly awesome piece of kit that blows the iPhone out of the water.
#18
good deal for tose of us in good signal areas, does this 3 phone come unlocked and with original htc sofware? or have 3 ' customised ' it ?
#19
I just took this deal out, im not a heavy user and the 300 calls/texts is more than enough. Been on Three for 18 months (my current one) had no problems with signal, unlike when i was on T-mobile before where i struggled to get any signal what so ever.

Been told its on back order and that it will arrive on 24th May.

I have just finished an 18 mnth contract with them last month and dropped myself down to a sim only deal that should have been £15 a month where I got 350 mins, 300 texts (ish) and unlimited internet for my G1. They gave me that for a tenner a month to try to keep me with them as I said I was 'looking around' for a good phone.

To get this deal, I think you will have to call their bluff and request your pac code once your contract is finished, then someone from the 'last chance' department will hopefully give you a call. When they called me they asked what new deal I had found and I told them about an orange deal that was going to cost me £19.77 a month but was only 300 mins and unlimited texts etc. The guy said the best he could do was £22.50 for the 900 mins etc.

T Mobile are really great as you will probably know so I was happy to stay with them and not risk getting a rubbish service from orange as I had a bad experience with them years ago

Best of luck

One more thing, try not to get an Orange HTC Desire because Orange have hacked them and blocked some of the Android software from allowing you to use Google Talk etc

Does T mobile have these in stock?, seems to be a shortage at the moment
#24
They have removed those tariffs, £30 only now. :'( just as I was about to order!.

Guess we'll have to wait until June when there should be more Desires available.
#25
I was going to order too - id love to know why they took it town. They did the same with the xperia x10

I am with three - no problems with coverage where I live or where I work (35 miles away)

In fact I was looking at t-mobile but they have no 3g coverage where I am.

Agreed to have one from T Mobile on Thursday and it turned up at 8.50am this morning (Saturday) so it is on charge until 12pm when I can start playing with it.

Apparently they are getting 2 deliveries of Desires each week and they are all reserved when they arrive so it should only take a few days to get one BUT as I stated earlier you need to be out of contract and request a pac code from T-Mobile to have a chance of getting one of these phone calls
#29
does anyone know if 3 are going to get more £17 or £20 a month deals for the Htc desire. Was really looking forward to getting this, Site said deal was availabe until the 28th of May. So not fair...
#30
I'm hoping they bring back the deals next month, once demand dies down a little for the desire.
#31
I tried their live help assistant on their website but got no joy either.

you don't need to charge it for x amount of time before you can use it, the days when you had to charge a phone before you could use it have long gone
#33
why is the three network really bad? is it just due to their customer service?
#34
This phone is awesome and very very fast with a 1ghz snapdragon processor.

The screen is to die for and even though this is slightly smaller than th X10, it has a far superior resolution at 16m colours to the X10 having 65k.

Android 2.1 is a vast improvement on the OS side.

You won't be disappointed trust me.
