Hi All, this is my first post so be nice :-)
I went to the Three Store in Blackburn Town Centre to ask about the HTC Desire (which I really DESIRE, especially with the fiasco of the iPhone 4), so the girl there (well a nice girl hummm) told me about the monthly package (which I'm not interested in), I asked about PAYG and she said £349.99 + £10 with (I think 100min + 100 txt + 150mb all for 90 days)(they've got no headset at the moment but they will have it in a couple of days!), so there you have it.
For me I'm waiting till the price comes to £300 so I can afford it.
This deal mybe in interest for some! thanks.

thier some good 18 month contract at the mo with the phone free not thinking of getting any of them?
#2
They have always been this price since launch on 3 and you shouldn't need to buy the £10 topup. I got one monthes ago for £349.99 and it is SIM free, although I haven't got round to using it yet!

Any good deals on an orange contract???

Thanks All, I didn't saw this deal here, so that's why I posted it.
for the £10 topup I think it does make sense for the 3 emplyees store so they can generate money.
for contract! I have no idea, the thing is I like the O2 iPhone PYAG sim as it offer you 12m free intrenet without even topup, I stay clear of any contract (for now). i like my freedom of choice. :-)

true that how i was last year i was on simplicaty triff works out great

the thing is i want this phone but i rather pay £25 over 18 months that pay £360 then pay my 12months simplicity on top it does work out cheaper mind you the simplicity but for me it its easyer paying samller amounts.

also o2 droped thier internet usage to a small 500mb which tmobile offer 3gb on android phone and i use the internet quite a lot and iam looking to jump ship

be aware not many of them will sell on PAYG as commision for them is much lower if they do. if your lucky then one of them will ;) you shouldn't have to pay with the 10 pound top up. i didn't when 3 launched it.

Battery lasts half a day. Stretch yourself a bit a buy an iphone 4.

What a bunch of jokers 3 staff are.

I went in for 2 of these on payg when they first had them a few weeks back. They confirmed they had them but then flatly refused to sell even one on payg. From reading other threads on phone forums it appears the the staff get more commission for a contract than payg sale, so screw what the customer wants.

They even tried to tell me (with a straight face) that getting one on a contract of £25 for 24 months was cheaper overall than getting one for £350 ! So guess 3 don't teach their staff basic maths either...

If you want one on payg go to CPW who will happily price match 3.

That's exactly why I sold my Desire. I'm a heavy user and no amount of fiddling would get me the battery life I would have been happy with. I sold my Desire JUST before the iPhone 4 launch but haven't bought one because of the reception issue. - I'm going to wait to see what happens with this - using a really crappy basic phone at the moment =[

you either got dodgy battery or no set the phone up very good.. east get days use out of it..
you may aswell get a contract one tho rather than pay this price for a payg surely.. same price/cheaper and free usage..

Strange?? All site reviews i have seen indicate at least 12 days on stanby for the Desire and 6-7 hours talktime (have never talked that long!)
Or but the iphone4 but have to hold the phone the way Apple say you must, or get a chunky sleeve to remedy the major design fault

exatly how they treated me like trying to sell me the contract

Thanks ssjinzo.
I think this is a deal since the cheapest option for handset only is the amazon one (£385.5 I think)
For the 18m contract, where are the 12m contracts gone? we are the customers we can change that! (yes we can).
for "Three customer service" or employees, I can't judge them, cause I don't know their circumstances.
I think every worker deserve a credit at least for smiling and trying to answer our quieries.
for me I'm a bit desapointed cause my fisrt post is going straight to ICE AGE :-(
BTW, how come this post doesn't appear in the main website page????????

i'm heavy user and it lasts 2 and abit days so its not bad considering what it can do.. you probably not set the phone right or the batteries faulty..
