Also the beats audio is just an equaliser setting which can be added to any phone but why you would want to is beyond me, all it does is increase bass which most phones can do anyway.

Hmmm.. I thought the beats audio was supposed to be 'stamped by dr dre. before being incorporated inside any device?
Oh here it is right on the official website:-
"Beats Audio software paired with tailored hardware ensures the best sound possible, one which meets the high standards of Dr. Dre. Without his stamp of approval, it doesn’t go out the door"

The G300 has a 1Ghz CPU and some call it slow...
So cold.
I think its because different networks offer different subsidies on the phones or something.
personally I have bought basic Samsung phone which was not written that unlocked and it did come unlocked, however it was refurbished but this HTC is brand new so it is worth to call them or wait the feedback from users to find out.
Ahahhahaha.
I have to say, there's marketing, then there's just plain bull... I own the international version of the One X which has an absolutely naff audio chipset along with the beats logo on the back, it doesn't sound atrocious but it's certainly not high quality. GSMArena came up with some figures showing how pathetic it is; bested by all other handsets they compared it to. Some high standards Dre has.
Essentially all the Beats thing is on HTC phones is an EQ setting; it adds bass which is a bit artificially clumpy and pushes up the trebles a bit. Engadget did an analysis of how it distorts the audio spectrum 'how the artists intended' if you're interested.
