is there any data usage included with this does anyone know??

I don't think the DAP offer includes the smartphone tariff. Think they give you standard tariff instead which doesn't include data allowance, though you can get a Bolt-on for £5 (500mb)

Looked at the O2 site and it's £30 for 100mins unl txt and 500mb Data.

BTW, that offer plus a £5 bolt-on is still cheaper than buying the phone offline or going the the equivalent O2 smartphone tariff is seems.

Again, like the Galaxy deal, this is about the phone rather than the tariff. If it's an unlocked version it's certainly a cracking deal. The risk is that you could get a great unlocked phone and stick your data sim card in it or you could get a phone stuck on O2!!! (I know! Some people do use O2) Then again you can always send it back.. "It's the wong shade of brown.........."

Please post if anyone finds out if this is unlocked.

Good deal simply because it doesn't involve much work. (By this, I mean the whole redemption thing.)

are you sure this doesn't include any internet usage? surely they do for these kind of smartphones. Anyway, does anyone think this is a misprice, I mean its dirt cheap

This seems to imply it's only a fiver if your contract is £30 or above on an 18 month contract, or £20 a month on an 24 month contract.

Since this is a 24 month contract at £20, I'd assume data is going to cost £10. If that's the case using another sim in the phone might work out cheaper.

anyone who does this and doesn't get a data bolt on will be in for a shock when their first bill comes in

Doesn't mention anything about a data plan on any of the deals with the HTC Desire on '02'

Definitely doesn't have any data usage on this contract - it really is the basic, standard O2 18 month 20pm contract, which is ust 100 minutes, unlimited texts. When you downgrade at month 9, you will then be paying £15pm for 50 minutes and unlimited texts. The phone is a free gift from Dial-A-Phone for taking out the O2 contract through them. It's not a misprice.

Cracking deal for the phone, just like the Samsung Galaxy S deal...and Froyo's out for the Desire now, too!

The web bolt-on is £10 for this particular tariff. It drops to £5 on the O2 300 tariff. This is the O2 100 tariff:

Click "Pay Monthly Tariffs" and you'll see the price there.
