UPDATE: 07/08/2010 :- i just received the phone and confirm that the phone comes branded with O2 and locked to O2 network, but no need to worry you can get the unlock code from ebay as low as £7. Apart of this this comes with 4GB memory. i had booked with quidco and my tracking updated in couple of hours and showing £40 and it will paid in average 2 months.
Was Looking for a Samsung Galaxy Deal, which was unfortunately Expired yesterday anyway I came across this deal is for HTC DESIRE on Dial a Phone, which will be useful to others, details as below
Though the Contract is crap, but the price is good for the phone, compare to other places where it cost £400.
The phone comes free with £20 for 18months on O2 (not sure if the phone comes unlocked), Also you can Downgrade the contract to one level down which will £15, I personally called O2 and confirmed.
As i said the contact is crap you get 100 xnet minutes and unlimited text,
So the deals comes like this
£20x9m = 180
£15x9m= 135
You also get £35 on TCB and £40 Quidco
Total = £ 315 – £40 = £275 (Without the pain of redemption)
You also get free mobile insurance for a month thereafter 6.99 a month and free 1 month gadget help online which can be cancelled any time.
Also incase who are planning the book the phone from dial a phone, can please referal myself, so that i can get referal for this woderfull deal.

Looked at the O2 site and it's £30 for 100mins unl txt and 500mb Data.
BTW, that offer plus a £5 bolt-on is still cheaper than buying the phone offline or going the the equivalent O2 smartphone tariff is seems.

This seems to imply it's only a fiver if your contract is £30 or above on an 18 month contract, or £20 a month on an 24 month contract.
Since this is a 24 month contract at £20, I'd assume data is going to cost £10. If that's the case using another sim in the phone might work out cheaper.
Definitely doesn't have any data usage on this contract - it really is the basic, standard O2 18 month 20pm contract, which is ust 100 minutes, unlimited texts. When you downgrade at month 9, you will then be paying £15pm for 50 minutes and unlimited texts. The phone is a free gift from Dial-A-Phone for taking out the O2 contract through them. It's not a misprice.
Cracking deal for the phone, just like the Samsung Galaxy S deal...and Froyo's out for the Desire now, too!

The web bolt-on is £10 for this particular tariff. It drops to £5 on the O2 300 tariff. This is the O2 100 tariff:

Click "Pay Monthly Tariffs" and you'll see the price there.
