why would you even think to sign uo for two years yes two whole long years with the same phone muppet!

this is a good deal though, if you want this phone ur looking at paying at least £600 with line costs for 2 years as the handset is nerly £500 whether u want payg or a 2 year contract eitherway.

Sounds like a good deal - my contract is up on the 17th Nov and I've been keeping an eye out for a good deal - was planning to get it out of contract and try for a good sim-only deal but this looks alright!

Any idea how badly the phone will be filled with bloatware when it arrives though??
#6
Seems like a good deal if you can get it!!!
#7
Thanks for the advice.

I called, mentioned the ph4u £25 for 600mins, 500sms (I use less than this anyway) and got:
Free phone
400 xnetwork
550 sms
Unlimited Landline
Unlimited Data
for £20 per month.

Downside is it's 24 months but i'm happy enough with that!

Hi

What contract were you on already to be in a position to negotiate these deals?

Thanks

I've just spoken to Orange and on a similar note to others on here, I was offered...

Free HTC Desire HD
600 mins a month (doubled up from the normal 300 offered)
Unilimited texts
Unlimited data (500mb fair use policy)
£22.50 a month (254 month contract)

I was on Dolphin 40 discounted to £30 a month for an 18 month term previously and the lady said this offer was a £2.50 a month discount form the Dolphin 25 tariff with double the mins and a £150 discount for the cost of the phone.

Seems like a good offer but I've got a few days grace to think about it as they're not expecting stock of the phone til the 18th.

I've got about 4.5 months left on my contract with orange (£35pm), do you reckon if i phone with the "intention" of ending contract (paying off what is left), they'd offer the deal or is it only for people eligible for upgrades?

254 months might be a bit too long to be honest

Balls... didn't notice that mistake! X)

Quick update on this... Orange sent me the usual 'we don't want to lose you' letter and gave a number to ring to chat to their advisors (0800 0790 272). I gave them a quick ring to see if they could improve their offer and I was offered (despite the last person telling me there was no way they could improve their offer...):

Free HTC Desire HD
400 mins a month (doubled up from the normal 200 offered)
Unilimited texts
500mb internet
£20 a month (24 month contract)

This suits me perfect as I use loads of texts but don't make that many calls and it works out to £480 in total for the 24 months - just gotta wait for Orange to get some more stock of HTC Desire HDs in so I can go for it! Sales guy said they're filling back orders so should be any day now :)

How godd is this phone compared to the non-HD HTC Desire?

t-mobile offered me desire hd 900 mins, 3000 texts, 3gb data, and unlimited landline calls or t-mobile calls, all for the princely sum of £25 p/m. I might take the deal eventhough T-mobile do have some network problems

Is this through retentions only? Would there be a way to get this deal? I desperately need a new phone as my iphone 2g is on its last legs :(
#17
Hi, having some real problems with this one. I have spoken to both the upgrades people and retentions and have cited the Phones4u deal (now £25 P/M) and deals seen on http://www.reevoo.com/p/htc-desire-hd . Yet, the best Orange can come up with is £25 for 300 mins and unlimited messages, with a £100 fee for the phone.

My contract expires 13th Jan, but I don't actually want to leave Orange as they throw in free home broadband, which would obviously cost £10-15 elsewhere. Can anybody help please?...
#18
@Alfreton Red your Price per month has to stay above £25 per month to get free broadband, have your thought about moving your broadband/line rental to SKY. They know it is more hassle for you to move broadband and mobile thats why the offers are not as good as above.
#19
just rang t-mobile...said they couldn't do it for less than £30 :(

@styler - how did u manage to get £25?
#20
24 months tho...

i paid £50 for the handset on an 18 monther at £25 a month
#21
mine was a retention deal
#22
WOW......Hot, Hot, Hot

Just phoned retentions and said I refuse to take longer than an 18 month contract but would like a similar deal to the others on here. Got offered:

one off £10 charge for the HTC Desire HD
Unlimited landline calls
Unlimited internet (500 mb)
800 Minutes
300 Texts
18 Months
For £25 a month

Not bad at all. ;-)
Cheers op
