hot at amazon, cold here - play.com can be a pain if something goes wrong and you need to return so wouldn't trust them with anything more than a tenner order.

Not ridiculous mate, at Amazon you have the full might of the UK distance selling regulations backing you up, for Jersey based play.com you don't.

Doesn't make this a cold deal though does it? My point still stands; the guy's comments were ridiculous and subjective.

Amazon has a brilliant returns service too. This deal is good, but at 400 smackaroonees I'd go with the rainforest people each time. Sometimes deals are not just about the product but also the stockist. You'll notice Argos, John Lewis, M&S, Curry's will always get hot if they have the same product as another hot deal with a not-so exemplary track record (Best Buy I'm looking at you).
