You didn't haggle very hard ..... this deal can be beaten easily - sorry! :-(
#2
Probably Orange branded to death though... I think you will find that "you've been tango'd".
#3
Mr ree where can you get a better deal thank this....?
#4
You'll get voted cold by all the £10/month brigade. If you use 1200 minutes a month then its an alright deal.

My Hero only has an orange logo at startup and orange bookmarks as noticeable branding.

I got this same deal for £35 a month 18 month contract 2 weeks ago from mobiles.co.uk and an unbranded phone.

However it is no longer available.

This is an alternative to iphoney, i mean iphone.

check the 2nd link and you will find poor iphone in 2nd place, unheard of a few months ago.

Yes i agree that iphone is an amazing phone and thanks to it other makers are stepping up the mark.

Do some research and you will find the HTC Desire has top reviews generally on every site.

So it might be time do jump off the iphone bandwagon and realise there are other phones that can do the same if not more than what the iphone can, not my words but words from the experts.

lol i can read the reviews and believe its a great phone but if ur going to be pedantic the iphone was voted gadget of the decade by the gadget show , in stuff magazine its the most desirable gadget there are millions of ppl who have an iphone or are getting one i dont have to try and persude ppl to buy one i dont go posting cold deals to justify my purchase .

why would i research a phone when im more than happy with and a new model will be released in a few months which could rip the htc apart ? i thought the desire was a nexus one without some features anyway :p

most desire owners im sure are more than happy but equally theres more iphone owners as happy , i mean shock horror a newer phone gets better reviews than an older one

Thats only got
300 minutes, 3000 texts and 500mb internet

The orange panther 40 has
1200 minutes unlimited texts and unlimited internet

so how is that deal better than this one, well it isnt.

Plus you get free sat nav, free voice mail and 50 photo messages aswell, so miles better.

Its only got the tag iphone killer until the next release. wasnt the hd2 the iphone killer. why isnt this the HD2 killer. Because they are still trying to achieve a better standard. Specs on paper are no substitute for reality. the market share facts released for us........................android 19%,,,,,iphone 64% and iphone os4 out in summer 2010..................keep trying htc, some people still believe you.:p

You get me the same deal cheaper and ill vote cold on it myself, how about that.

I think alot of ppl dont know what voting cold is all about, if you can get it cheaper then vote cold if not either vote hot or abstain.

Well alot of new phones have come out and never beaten the i phone before so why now, maybe there are phones which can match the iphone!!
#16
i didnt vote btw seems its not that popular , and why do new phones have to be iphone killers do they not have their own identity or all they try to do is beat the best ?

Dear oh dear, children, children, its a phone !

Handbags away ladies!

If you want an iChav, sorry iPhone, then get an iPhone, if you want an alternative then get the Desire

For £30 a month it's not a bad deal really..... personally I wouldn't touch Orange due to bad reports from mates that are on the Orange network

cos it's 15 quid cheaper and 6months shorter. :whistling: think you'll find that unlimited internet has a limit on it also.

as said sat nav free on android apps.

I think the Panther 40 for £30 is a good deal, even if over 24 months.
1.) It is unlimited internet (subject to fair usage) rather than the 500mb on the tariff your'e talking about - see here: http://newsroom.orange.co.uk/2010/03/29/get-the-most-out-of-your-phone-with-great-value-multimedia-tariffs-from-orange/
2.) Google maps on Android in UK doesn't work as well as in USA - ie. it isn't fully voice guided Sat Nav.
3.) You're also getting 900 extra minutes.

For anyone that wants lots of minutes, texts and internet, I am yet to see a deal that beats this. If you want a short contract, then obviously this is not for you, but that doesn't mean the deal itself is inherently rubbish.
