Here's the deal:

200 mins
unlimited texts
250mb data plan
contract 2ys
network: Orange
handset £59
£20pm

Total over 2 yrs £539

I have searched around a lot of shops and sites and I believe this is the best deal at this moment in time. Compared to Tesco who are offering the phone for free @£25pm with 100 mins, 500 texts, 24 month contract on vodaphone which equates to £600 for 2 yrs then it is a good deal. Carphonewarehouse are doing an even worse deal, less texts, no data @£25pm for 2 yrs on Orange.

Here's a review

and here's the blurb....

HTC have done something we never thought possible by improving the already brilliant HTC Desire. Sporting the ultra-responsive and streamlined Android 2.3 operating system and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, this stylish handset not only looks amazing but can do some pretty amazing things on the multimedia front also.

Web browsing is swift and pages render in seconds, and connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, and a microUSB v2.0 port for data transfer, make this handset perfect for all your multimedia manoeuvring. The full Google suite of useful utilities is present, including dedicated YouTube, Google Talk apps and Picasa integration, while the bundled media player can handle DivX, XviD, MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV so you'll never be left wanting when it comes to soaking up media content.

A 5MP camera (capable of recording in 720p) is perfect for capturing those memorable moments and the 3.7" S-LCD capacitive touchscreen displays 16M colours and makes viewing back your snaps and footage an impressive experience. And don't worry about having the space you'll need to store all of your digital bits and bobs either - there's 1.1GB of internal storage which expandable up to 32GB via a microSD. The best just got better.

Seems decent but 250mb is pretty low!
#2
yeah quite a good deal but the data allowance is on the low side. Ok for a email, and very light surfing.

I know the data seems low but my wife hardly ever uses the Internet.
It's perfect for her needs but heavy users might raise an eyebrow at it - there is always the wifi angle though

i think i got a decent deal at orange on the desire hd.
£15 a month.. 100mins,unltd texts, 250mb data.. BUT paid £99 for the pphone upfront.

Think the one below is better (not accounting for Redemption deals as probably quite a few that involve redemptions but tend to avoid them). Anyway, the one below is for 300 mins 300 texts and unlimited data - £20.42 per month for 24 months and a free handset. Is with T-Mobile so you can alter the Flexible Booster every 30 days - the handset is free with this deal.

Link doesn't seem to work but it is with BuyMobilePhones.net and is the 'T-Mobile £20 Inc Internet'deal.
