Tarrifs were changed today and this deal looks like just what I was looking for. Thought I'd share it with you all.

300 Minutes
1000 Texts
1 GB Data
And crucially for me a 12 Month contract.

(Last week they were asking for £149.99 up front but did include unlimited data)

Just like to add that when I went to take this deal the in store contract actually included unlimited data !!! Even better !!!

Total £379.99 for 1yr and the mins/txt/data seem quite good IMHO

Can't really see how you're going to eat more than 1GB unless you have hsdpa wherever you go and watching HD movies from youtube 24/7, in which case....go get a life :p

Good deal as a 12m contract. Currently -9. Why is it being voted cold without reason?
#3
This is an updated deal, and over 12 month contract deals - it's the best one for Desire S at the moment.

very good

hi,

currently have a desire but thinking of selling is the desire s a better phone?

done my own research quote:-

runs on the Android 2.3 version Gingerbread. Lots of app. available on both pay or free. I find that the battery does last abit longer compare to the original Desire. On average use will last between 2-3 days.
Screen resolution is good.It has a 3.7" LCD touchscreen.
1 GHz Scorpion CPU and so it's pretty fast! It comes with a 8GB micro SD card.
The only down side i find in the HTC Desire S is the camera. Only has a 5 MP camera. But still, decent enough for normal picture taking. ( still prefer the 8MP in the other model like the Desire HD ).
It also has a 1.3 MP Front Facing Camera for video calling.
Over all it's a great phone and would definitely recommend!!

these new talk mobile deals are gonna be very popular, back to good old 12month contracts

:)
#7
Very nice for only 12 months...
#8
Very tempted, but I dont really want to leave my current network, 3. Also newer phones namely the HTC Sensation and SS Galaxy S2 are out soon both dual core and it does make a difference seen some videos on YT. They are however expensive as can be expected, am leaning toward the S2 but its got some negatives about it and its quite large. Ahh decision decisions......................

You can get the same deal, but with 400 minutes per month instead of 300, for just £10 more over the course of the contract...

Sorry for the double post, but the incredible S can also be had for the same overall cost at £20 per month with £150 at the start, here.... arguably the better phone

it is the better phone: http://www.knowyourmobile.com/comparisons/808138/htc_incredible_s_vs_htc_desire_s.html

Better looking, bigger screen, better cameras on front and back, everything else is the same.

Cracking deal... will be remembering this come renewal time if O2 are playing silly beggars... anyone know which network Talk Mobile uses?
#13

#14
Does anybody have any experiences at all with talk mobile? Can't find many reviews online...

They're a VNO using Vodafone's network I believe
#16
vno w.t.f.?
#17
Virtual Network Operator (I think)

When I spoke to 02 yesterday they couldn't get close to this or the deal on the HRC Wildfire S! They were shocked! Plus you get cashback with this deal! Thanks to the OP!

But they did give me free broadband for 12 months as I transfered my phone line to them, £7.50 a month for line and 20 Meg broadband!
#19
And there's 60 cash back via quidco or topcashback.
#20
via talk mobile you can get 24 months, £25 per month, 500 minutes, 1500 texts and unlimited internet. Assuming quidco/tcb tracks - all this for £20 a month, albeit a longer contract. Might be helpful for someone.
#21
hot! 12 month contracts are the way forward and this is a great one
#22
Thanks, might just buy this one now following the cracking O2 deal for £10 a month. Unlike that, I NEED Vodafone! :)

Just a word of warning regarding cashback deals. If you wish to port your Mobile Number from another network to TalkMobile you can only do this in store or over the phone at time of purchase. They do not allow online sales with a number port. Therefore you cannot use a cashback site. Check out the talkmobile web site. Go to help and advice page, go to faq. Look at how do i keep my number. Follow down to pay monthly section. clearly states you cannot keep number if you purchase online. Hope this helps!

Really - that's a pain, meaning I will change my long-loved number.

Why is that? Seems a bit restrictive.

Showing at £199 now.

Great deal, total of £380 including phone use for a year. WIN!
#27

cannot find this deal on talkmobile. only shows 24 months contract.

I will be seriously annoyed if the Desire S or Incredible S are no longer this price...

they're changing it, would be very surprised if they aren't. It might be same price but bet 24 months.
#32
aw no, best 12m deal seen for ages.
#33
That's quite annoying! But, not allowing number porting online is also strange. Will have to wait for the Sensation to come out and then push these phones back down to reasonable prices!
#34
Still down for maintenance : /
#35
Just spoke to CPW and the offer is still on at their end, obviously I couldn't take it over the phone as need online Quidco £50, which he couldn't do, but hopefully it's just normal site maintenance and will be back sometime later.

There's only around 12 hours for the £50 on Quidco, presume after that it reverts to £40.

Will the phone be locked to Vodafone/TalkMobile ?
#36
if you look for talkmobile on quidco it shows as £60, carphonewarehouse is £50
#37
Is this deal also in-store?
#38
It's back up and deal is still available online! :)
#39
Is it possible to port your number after you have joined the network, rather than at time of purchase? That way we can still claim cashback online, and keep the same number.

But they don't seem to have the Desire S on a 12m tariff, only the Wildfire S.
