What counts as unlimited web?? I know there is usually a limit
#2
I'm considering getting one of these & had actually bookmarked the other page. Seems like a great deal

Any users got any comments on what these handsets are like?

99.9% sure it's 1 GB/ month (sent and received) with T-mobile.

How much would an average use be? I have heard that these phones are permanently online and dont want to find I have huge bills on top of the allowance each month.

They'd be constantly connected to the network, just not doing much with that connection (you shouldn't really notice much background usage). I've just checked the T&Cs and according to T-Mobile, Android Phones like this get 3 GBs/ month. 3 GBs/month is a huge amount for a phone so you'll easily cope even if you download the odd app and web surf/ check email daily.

They also say if you go over there's no extra charge should you breach it, just a stern warning and possible limits on your next month, but again, I doubt it would be a problem for most people, especially considering this has WiFi too.

cant believe they are offering a better deal on the desire over the legend

I'd be surprised at that as well. The Desire is the much better phone in every department except the look of the phone itself. If you want the better looking phone then go for the Legend, but if you want the better performer with the bigger screen 3.2" vs 3,7" then go for the Desire.

If it is like the HTC hero you will need to convert to MP4.

I'm pretty sure you can just use an app called yxFlash to play DivX without conversion. To be honest I'd recommend using a convertor to scale the video down to the Desire's resolution which will reduce the file size too.

I thought I saw these for £350 PAYG on tmobile - and they can be unlocked for nowt... just a thought. This is still a good contract deal on an excellent handset.

Everything is cool, but T-mobile sucks?
Or does it not?

Do T-Mobile charge to listen to voicemail on a contract?

Yes, they do. Some folks use hullomail, which basically record the voice mail as MP3, enabling you to listen to it that way.

I thought that for resellers the inclusive data amount can be lowered

Can bearly get GSM signal, never mind 3G.
I've had the phone since Saturday and LOVE it.

You use roughly 1MB per minute

Thats a bit misleading I think. People will get worried about over using.

Your not always connected to the internet. You can set it to update less often and it will use wireless when avaliable. I assume the 1mb per minute would come from actual web usage (browsing) when the phone is updating the weather, time, or your FB/Twitter it will use next to nothing in terms of data.

Hello,

I would imagine you could put something on it like VLC player which would play whatever format you wish.

There are some great tech forums around which require some reading, but the android operating system will have plenty of support.

Cheers

Yes try hullo mail

Update coming soon to allow Divx playback

This is a rubbish deal! You can get it - as I did - from t-mobiles website for £10 on an 18 month contract. I wanted it as a second handset to my iPhone so the 100 min/100 texts is more than enough for me. Brrrr......cutting!
#33
yes but you had to pay fro the phone didnt you

this is free on 18 month for £25 per month

How do you unlock them for free???? Thought it could only be done via code which you have to pay for, not seen anything yet regarding rooting & unlocking the device ?? If you have any links/info please share. Cheers
