Its not really £174.62 is it, its only that price if by some miracle that you get every bill in on time and its paid and Quidco tracks and pays all in all its a big ask to get this price and as HUKD rules you should state the full price in the title as the true price is £367.56 anything back is a bonus. Theres also no data with this making it like a 3 legged horse as without data this phone is useless.

For the above reasons its cold.

I dont think its a 'miracle', ive had plenty redemptiom deals - and many many more via quidco. i dont remeber not getting my money for a single one.

its all on the buyers side these days - it was much more difficult 5 years ago, when the window was only 30days.

A miracle? How on earth people struggle to send FIVE bills in when they give you a 2 month slot PER BILL to do it in is beyond me. If you can't manage that you deserve to lose the cashback - plus they'd be better deals for the rest of us who can!

In answer to the question by someone if dialaphone are reliabl,. I'm on my third redemption through them. I generally send my bills in the day before the "posting period" starts by standard second class and have a cheque in my hand within a week.

There's absolutely no need to use first class recorded like some people tell you to. They give you a 2 month gap to send it in, if you send it in at the beginning and they haven't received it after a month just send another one.

Also, data doesn't necessarily matter. Firstly, a lack of data makes no phone useless - it's a phone! Secondly, you can use it with a different plan (just ignore the contract sim and use the phone as if it was on PAYG).

Do they send you monthly paper bills that you have to send in, or do they come via email?

These are going for 300 odd on ebay, might be worth getting it and making a not-so-quick 125 profit.

Minus ebay fees etc.

Does anyone know if you can use a T-mobile sim on an o2 phone? Or would I have to get the phone unlocked?
#17
Smartphone Newb I am, looking to replace my old PAYG for something that allows me to use the Internet and play (3D) games, not bothered about the phone part !

Would this do the trick?

I have a Virgin sim only deal costing £10 a month (800 mins, unltd txt, 1gb data, free vm to vm calls).
I wonder how that would work in relation to this phone deal and if I would be better off with a different deal instead.

not too sure about the 3d games but will certainly do the rest no probs, this is still one of the best smartphones out there.

I went for this deal, and just got it this morning. I can confirm it's sim unlocked and with 2.2 Froyo system.

kerol is the phone debranded aswell?
#23
yes, no O2 mark whatsoever. I'm a bit shocked with the battery though. After first charge, next morning, totally drained, what's going on?
#24
Can you access BtOpenzone through wifi hotspots as part of this o2 tariff?
#25
got mine on saturday - brilliant pone!

easy to browse internet, good resolution and unlocked

true battery isnt brilliant, but then its the same with all smart phones, my friends iphone 4 gives the same juice as the HTC -but for £178 im smiling all the way!

on battery life nokia have clocked it

wifeys nokia on symbian software and it has a good app called 'switch off' which completely shuts the phone down at a set time for instance at 11pm. the app couldnt switch the phone back on though but for this the nokia alarm saved the day.

so her phone daily completely switches off at 11pm
nokia alarm comes on at 7am - upon alarm coming on - screen states do you want to turn phone on - yes or no?

brilliant symbian app which saves saves battery esp when idle overnight, hence her nokia 5800 lasts 3 days on a single charge

my iphone 3gs last just 20 hours:(

come on android! get a simillar battery saving app released!!!

Seems a good deal to me! Heat up!

mines unlocked too with no O2 branding. to anyone who got one, don't forget to cancel the insurance and gadget helpline thing.

anyone after a hero? :D

Use Advanced Task Killer which is free from the Android marketplace. There is another app I've forgotten the name of that you can set tasks to do and at what time, such as turn off data at a set time, or lower the screen brightness, etc.

Russell

this is true russell, however an app which completely switches off would be best for energy saving
these other apps sort of hiberante the phone, saving small amounts of energy

i dont think one can add a data bolt on for £5/month with O2 100... O2 confirmed that they will move u to the smartphone plan (100 mins + text + 500mb data) which is £30/month and that will invalidate the cashback redemption (i believe).
#30
Do they use Royal Mail for their delivery? Is it a Special Delivery service?

I would have thought so too...
Picked mine up today (wasn't in when Royal Mail tried to deliver on Thursday, even though when I ordered online, I asked for a Friday delivery...)

Great phone, and as previously mentioned - Froyo 2.2, unlocked, no O2 branding. Great little phone!

Now, do I give the wife the Galaxy S, or this to use...

I've just ordered this deal from Dial-a-phone and they have mucked me round a bit... If you do place an order, call their call centre straight away and make sure they have all the info they need.

is it the APT failed problem? I got that and was told that it was out of stock. Had to cancel. Might reorder if it's back on...

APT? Nope - they mucked about asking for evidence of my work place for delivery and missed the promised delivery date.

dialaphone is very reliable. once i thought royal mail lost my claim because they never uploaded the signature. Few days later (just about before I go and complain to royal mail), the cheque from dialaphone arrived :)
#38
Ordered one today!
#39
so how much is the internet bolt on? £5 or £10?
#40
I've got a few questions:
1) I'm thinking of switching the sim to a giffgaff one as this would better suit my needs. Will the sim become inactive if not used? what would cause this? Will this affect my redemption?

2) (^^if so) Will I be able to use the O2 sim in another phone?
