Why so cold ? Do you know any better deal !?
#2
Amazing deal, voted hot
#3
i think people are not interested in expensive phones anymore ...maybe that can be a reason for Cold..
but it is a good deal if you want to go for 18 month contract..
#4
Considering upgrading to one of these when my present contract is up for renewal on the 14th! I will see what retention deals I'm offered.
#5
Good deal, should not be cold. heat added.
#6
hot from me but i think the £25 tariff is better value, compare similar tariff from other sp's:

O2 / £25month / 200 mins / 400 texts / web bolt on +£7.50 / £200 handset = £785
Tmobile / £27month / 300 mins / 300 texts / Unlimited web / £140 handset = £626
Virgin / £25month / 500 mins / Unlimited texts / Unlimited web / £80 handset = £530 + more mins + more texts.

my o2 upgrade is due in feb but their phones are overpriced, may go to virgin :)
#7
O2 really have become difficult to get a good deal out of.
#8
BLOODY ****ING HOT. This Phone is awesome.
#9

not a bad deal, whats virgin signal like?
They Piggy back Tmobile who are merging with Orange
#11
Virgin use T-Mobile's network. Shame really as this seems a pretty good deal, but the signals is crap where I live/work/play. Deal hot, T-Mobile/Virgin not :(
#12
Don't think this phone is all that, but a good deal, so voted hot for the deal.
#13
The only thing that kills the phone is that it's powered by Windows. The hardware is fantastic however.

but that's exactly why I'd want one..... not locked down like the proprietary iphone 9and much better performance), and the android development community is still too small and immature compared with windows mobile, I guess symbian could compete but I'm just a windows guy.

What's wrong with Windows?
#16
i have this phone and its bl**dy brilliant !!!!
best phone around by a country mile .... makes the iphone look old fashion
only thing i will give the iphone is the app store and how easy it is to get apps ( there are plenty available for winmo but you need to search around a bit more)

every time i take this phone out people want to know what it is
#17
I got this phone in black for Free on an 18month contract paying £35/month on TMobile. It came with 7 months free line rental which results in an average monthly cost of £21/month if I remember to claim. For that I got 3GB internet (which is basically unlimited) + unlimited texts + 700 anytime mins. Also £20 from quidco.

however I never posted the deal on here as ppl don't tend to like cashback deals. It was from a site called BuyMobilePhones if anyone is interested in seeing if the offer is still available.

oh and the phone is awesome. I doubt i'd want to switch it even after 18 months.

Amazing phone and deal. I have the Android Hero, although great, there just isnt enough development going on. Still unable to find a video player which plays divx or aac. I coudl do more with my Windows powered Diamond.

BTW Tmobile have removed the youtube app on the tmobile phones as my cousin found out. You can overcome this by downloading it from the google website using explorer browser and NOT opera which is the default.

Hope that helps someone as I spent hours trying to figure it out on my cousins phone. T mobile were of no help and neither were HTC, both blaming eachother for its removal and its download being blocked on opera.

Hot deal! I'm on O2 at the moment with an HTC built SE Xperia X1 and was looking to upgrade to the HD2, and this is the best deal by far.

I've been using Windows phones since the first Windows mobile came out, and the flexibility they give those who know what they are doing with the operating system is enormous. Having said that, if I was a user who wasn't prepared to flash modified roms or 'tweak' the software then I would be unhappy with most stock phones running Windows.

Another thing to note is the 'unlimited' web allowance: "Unlimited Mobile Internet: Unlimited mobile internet is subject to a fair use allowance of 1GB per month. If your usage exceeds this amount then we reserve the right to charge you for the excessive element of your usage at the per MB data rate for your tariff outlined in our Tariff Table."

The choice is yours

I'd trade my iPhone for this anyday ;-)

I think you should specify the amount of minutes available as that is what makes this hot. You can get the phone cheaper on t-mobile but less minutes. I really wanted this phone until I saw it. It is massive and more of a mulitmedia device than a phone. fab looking but bulky..

In terms of hardware, you're not likely to see anything supercede this for some time. The nexus 1 has the same processor and within the next 6 months it will become the defacto processor.

WVGA will likely become the defacto resolution accross the top end smartphones. Which will really leave you to choose between the following:

1) OS (Windows/Android/iPhone):
Personally WindowsM comes last of the three. Although now they've seen sense with capacitive touch, I await the release of WM 7 to see if that position changes.
2) Form factor:
This is probably the largest, with the nexus and iphone being under 4" screens (Can't see the iPhone going over 4").
3) Type of screen
Don't believe this has an OLED screen, which would be the only thing that lets it down.
4) Battery life:
Although they are all generally close, the type and size of screen used will make a difference to battery life when using the phone. This will surely be at the bottom end of the battery life stakes compared to its forthcoming siblings with smaller OLED screens/larger capacity batteries. Also Apple may leverage the battery expertise it used in its MBP recently in its phones (costs allowing ofcourse).

Either way, I think the key question should be which OS you want to be tied to. Because thats where the big differences in user experience truly lay IMHO.

BTW just to qualify my comments, my nexus one arrives next week to replace my iPhone. Haven't considered WM since the arrival of the iPhone and now Android.

Enough for who? Everyone's usage is different. I used 1.39849 gigabytes in the previous month, however, I do agree 1GB is more than enough for most people.
#34
I'm writing this on my hd2. It's an awesome phone and easily the best currently available. some people complain that it's too big but it's so slim that it feels nice both in your hand and in your pocket.
#35
I agree that O2 aren't offering the best for this (and other new phones) compared to other mobile networks, the best i managed to get offered was 600mins, 1000txt, unlimited internet and unlimited Wi-Fi for £35pm but want £90 for handest (18months)....i'll hang on for a bit longer.

I wouldn't call not having an OLED screen a let-down. Pretty much all of the phones+mp3 players I have read about (some of which I've actually seen!) which have OLED displays have been notoriously difficult to use in bright conditions, particularly when outside. They're definitely good in terms of battery life but when you can't actually see what you're doing on it, makes little odds

Don't think this phone is all that, but a good deal, so voted hot for the deal.

Trust me, it is. I've had one for a month and it is the best phone at the mmt imho. I've had many other phone from work and none of them comes any close to the HD2. I wouldnt give it up for any other mobile on the market today.

Roeasting hot deal. Have some heat.
#38
i got mine from voda 18 months , 900 mins x-net, unlimited landlines, unlimited texts and unlimited internet , £90 quidco , £35 per month  and what a phone it is
#39
Got one of these, sexy bit of kit, When Windows Mobile 7 comes out then this phone can be upgraded.
I have had one replaced and this current one is due for a repair but think I properly got unlucky as everyone else seems happy with their HTC HD2 phones.
Looking for a cheap / decent leather case is hard for this phone at the moment.

Hot hot hot.

Thanks for posting Lemon2! Just ordered mine after lots of deliberating with other inferior deals.
