the deal is explained as below

phone price is 30 pounds.
30x24=720

plus i will have an option to lower my tariif to 25 pounds a month after 9 months and then the allownce will be 400 mins 200 txts plus unlimited internet.
couldnt find such a deal without redemption offer.

You dont get much in your price plan, if you just want the phone then look here http://www.simplyelectronics.net/mainproduct.php?pid=8859. Has been as low as £350 sim free

just checked the link provided by you its the price in that link is 467.95 pounds at the moment.yes i am interested in the phone.found deals on voda for 35 pounds a month 24 months contract although the allownce is a lot more but i dont use that much of mins anyway.and i though this way i will be able to get the phone plus adequate amount of mins on this cotract with 30 pounds a month contract.may be i was wrong and couldnt spot the right deal :(

750-467.95 = £282.05

282.05/24 = £11.75 a month

So if you plan to spend less than £11.75 a month on whatever sim you intend using, buy the handset separately.

If you think you will spend more and are happy the bundle is enough for you, buy the contract.

Simple :)

Or the other way to look at it - do you want to pay all that money upfront, or would you rather have it on what is effectively HP?

well it is my first post which i personally posted.my brother might have posted few deals b4 so dont get me wrong.
what i cant understand is that i have searched quite a few websites and i cant find a deal less than £35 a month that has unlimited internet allownce included.personally i think the mins allownce is less but i am getting unlimited internet and the option to bring the tariff down after 9 months.appreciate your advice and feedback.sometimes all you need is a honest piece of advice.thanx

I thought the 24 month new google phone deal was bad, but this has to be the worst deal in the history of HUKD.

Why so cold? its actually a good deal for this amazing bit of kit.

I guess people think you meant the title as £750 for just the phone.

you should have written £30pm with 600 mins 500texts and unlimited internet. I think most people that pay around this price expect 1000 or unlimited texts, but for people that call alot this is indeed a good offer.

Well the hardware may be good but the OS is WinMo which I wouldn't touch and wouldn't recommend anybody else touch.

There are many other options for phone OS at the moment which all offer a bette experience than you get with Windows. Personally, I would choose any Android based phone over this one.

A more cost effective way may be to try the following. O2 (though they also noted they were a combined unit of O2/Carphonewarehouse), have just offered me:

Discounted line rental, sim only:
1. 18 month contract,
2. £35 a month normal contract discounted to £10 a month,
3. Total cost of £10 times 18 months, that is £180,
4. £35 tarifff includes 600 cross network minutes, 1000 sms and a free bolt on (e.g. free internet (subject to fair use policy, or free weekend calls landlines and cross network etc.)
5. Then just buy the phone, and you are free to but whatever phone you like (preferably on 02 or unlocked).

They also offered a cashback redemtion deal, where the redemption woulkd be £540, that is the monthly cost would drop to £5 a month, post cashback. Depends how disciplined you can be about submitting redemptions.

Try mobiles.co.uk - several deals with unlimited internet - they have deals from £15 with internet (vodaphone) - have to pay for phone but there are other deals.

Please don't turn this into a windows/android/apple debate - they are all good - it depends on YOUR needs and prefernces.

but is that as an 'upgrade'(i.e. existing customer)? if so not so useful for first time contract buyers or non-o2 customers.

Tmobile have plenty of good deals on there website for this particular phone. The plan you choose totally depends on your usage. Personally I like the £18 a month deal with internet plus £200 for the phone total contract works out to be £524.

http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/mobile-phones/phones/pay-monthly/htc/hd2/price-plans/

The £31.50 contract is 700min, unlimited texts and internet for 18 months. Total cost for contract is £667 including cost of phone. Therefore that deal is better than the one listed in your post.

If you want to sell an item don't use big numbers, £750 OMG ! ! !. How about less than £1.03 per day. People avoid adding up how much they spend on stuff, It's too frightening
