I've just moved to t-mobile from O2... wish I hadn't! the network is terrible in most places in the east Midlands. I haven't voted either way but wager with desire and google coming along this phone with its WM platform will drop in price rapidly.

Talking daft this is there flagship phone WM6.5 is due for a free upgrade to WM7 when its released. What i like is how people who couldn't/cant afford the HD2 keep banging on about the Desire i can tell you for a fact the the HD2 is brilliant and is in a class above the desire way above and although it runs WM it has been overhauled by HTC the 4.3 screen is amazing and the phone itself is very smart and i have friends and family that have the iPhone and because i wanted to be different i choose the HD2 and they have all said that the would rather have the HD2 over there iPhone.

So for the people on here that keep knocking the HD2 at least know what its like to use and don't think that because its WM that it useless because its not, It was on the gadget show 2weeks back and won there best new phone and was given 4 stars and they said it was the only challenger for the iPhone's crown i think the desire looks cheap and tacky the HD2 is classy looking and if you do a search through HUKD you will find threads all about it and just look at how hot they got time and time again and look to see what the owners of them think I'm sure that will change your mind.

Back to this deal its very cold you can buy the phone out right for £250 less and that is robbery i suggest you try virgin way cheaper i payed £90 and took a £25 a month contract for 18months with 500minutes talk time which if you choose the £30 a month will give you 800minutes 3000texts unlimited virgin to virgin calls and unlimited data and fully unlocked.

I think you guys have forgotten that it is an "unlimited" package as well. A similar deal with the iPhone from O2 costs 1440

I had a HTC HD2 - loved it.. But you're in for a bit of a shock..

HTC HD2 has been confirmed that it will get NO Windows 7 Mobile upgrade - which is why i sold it.. The OS is gonna be completely dead in 6 months..

Thats why xda-developers website is the best place to keep an eye out for an unofficial update to Windows 7 ;)
Anyway 6.5 is fine I bet.... Just like am on v1.5 of the Android OS on my current phone rather than the latest v2.1....

I agree that windows 6.5 on HD2 will work as normal. I use it and its brilliant.
The only prob i see is MS might have a better marketplace (for apps - MS app site) for win 7? Any thoughts?

I had my HD2 for about a week. Terrible experiance. The phone just kept crashing. People couldnt get through to me, and everytime i accessed voice mail the screen just froze. Three people I know have had this problem. And before anyone asks, yes i did close all the applications in the task manager and did a soft reset to no avail. Luckily tmobile took it back as it was within 7 days. By the way, UNLIMITED is subject to 1800 minutes!

Doubt you'll see it - very much for the same reason its taken some a good year + to port Android to the fuze..

Windows 7 Mobile is a completely new OS from the ground up - going to be a long long process till you see any port on HD2 - even then.. It won't be fully functional.

No point owning the HD2 now in my mind - why i sold it.. It's a grand shame to, fantastic mobile killed by the fact that the OS will be completely dead in 6 months..
