I am expecting to get blasted for this, but here we go....

This deal only works if you take quidco into account, they have just increased cashback to £150 for contracts.

This deal takes a bit of hunting for, YOU MUST SELECT THE PHONE PLAN FIRST (12 month contracts require a few clicks), if you select the phone first you have no option of a 12 month contract.

You then select the Dolphin plan @ 27.41p/m, the phone then costs £146.5. This plan gives you 200 mins and 300 texts, there are other plans to choose from as well.

However quido tracks @ £150, so the phone then becomes free. I placed my orer about 1 hour ago and it has tracked the full amount already.

Total Term Cost = (12 x 27.41 + 1 x 146.5) - 150 = 325.42

I choose to add the 500mb of data for 4.89 p/m. This was the cheapest deal I could find, and I have been looking hard! Hope it helps somebody.

Where can you get it free for £25pm? is it a 12month contract too? Quite interested in getting this phone.

Cheers

As this phone utilises the 3g internet a lot I would question whether Orange is the best provider to go with (only included 500mb in packages when i got mine - so went with T-mobiles flext - which has 'unlimited internet')

As they are now the same company, maybe the contracts should be changing soon

Agreed, tmobile is much better (3gb d/l limit, as opposed to 500mb with orange), but for those of us with no t-mobile 3g reception, this is the best alternative.

A free Hero for £25 a month on a 12 month contract.....bull****.

I also agree that quidco should not be included in the price, but without it the deal makes no sence, hence why I included it.

Just to clear-up a common misconception on here - you'll have to go BONKERS to blow a 500Mb limit on a phone, in a month. Unless you're planning to stream live music 24/7 you won't get anywhere near it in fact.

My mate uses his iPhone for allsorts and he's yet to break 400Mb in a month and it's usually more like 150-200 - so the only reason you'd need more is if you decided to use the phone to 'tether' your laptop (and download files to that) - and Orange will give you a £5/month dongle as an existing customer so that's a much better approach anyway.

I'm also waiting for this mythical £25/month 'free' Hero which doesn't exist ofc.

Possible answer to above - BUT 24 months is the problem.

Just looking at the £150 cashback deal with Orange, which excludes Orange 5 & 10 plans. But if you choose the Blackberry Email plan at 14.39 a month for 12 months (172.68) then choose a Blackberry Curve 8520 (free on this plan), is this eligable for the cashback? Making the whole deal 22.68 for the year with unlimited internet?
