Works out at £350 for the 12 months, assuming the £50 QuidCo kicks in. However, you'll probably want the Orange £5 a month Internet package, so add another £60 for that for the 12 months. But, hey,… Read More

Oh, and most importantly it's IN STOCK! Beepy / buymobilephones.net / etc. are all OOS, at least for their decent price T-Mobile offers. Please vote cold IF you can find it cheaper over 12 months and IN STOCK!

I've heard Orange are almost as bad as Vodafone when it comes to branding their phones. Anyone confirm either way?

From reading around the HTC Hero forums, I *think* you can burn the phone with a standard (i.e. non-orange) ROM image. Not sure about the stick-on logo though :)

Me too, and I'm sick of the touch diamond, it really sucks as a phone, mostly because of Windows Mobile though.

Yeah it's not best even with the ROM update. Even then still slow and buggy. It's a real shame because without Windows Mobile it's a great phone

In terms of web browsing this phone is as close as you will get to the iPhone. But has advantages that it doesn't have stupid restrictions in place, and has true multitasking, and camera is better.

Overall much better than the iPhone.
