First post - so please ignore the errors , Basically I got the above deal after a lot of haggling with T-mobile. This is an upgrade offer I beleive . Spoke to a very nice lady with retentions who finally offered me this deal . Had been unlucky so far to get it at [email protected] months on Tmobile .

Thanks for your first post. The exclusivity of the deal, I fear, will be it's ultimate undoing, since it simply won't apply to most people out there. That's just going by previous posts of this nature however, and not a personal attack.

All the best !

Maybe its due to Christmas being round the corner . In my opinion , this is the time to try , though it may just be a one off deal . Thanks for your feedback though

Sounds good, I'm eligable for an upgrade on Dec 28th. Hopefully just in time for t-mobile staff to really be needing some sales to hit their quarterly/annual targets. Least you can get some deals

This is a great phone and a great deal. Much much better than the one I got two weeks ago.
Heat added.

THAT IS SUCH A GOOD DEAL, TOTAL COST OF CONTRACT IS LESS THAN £360 FOR 2 YEARS. The phone alone is worth more than that, its not a refurb is it ? :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

No its defo not a refurb . Will confirm tomm once i receive it

well done OP! top deal!!!!!!!!!!!!

it took me 2 weeks to get ThreeUK to give me unlimited inet access on my samsung jet as an upgrade retention deal

These deals just never hold up for most people. The last thread is still running but the vast majority were refused the offer.

I wont vote hot, sorry.

it is probably just a deal offered to the OP, but its a good deal none the less!

i have added heat to the post for sticking it to t-mobile and getting a great deal.

I can't see this deal on the web-link ?
#12
Remember, (i think) that the HTC Hero from t-mobile is the white version only (as shown in the picture) and the orange version is the graphite version, incase the colour matters to you.

Think its far to new to be any refurbs kicking around so soon.

If you read post properly he tells you that he negotiated this deal personally over phone. Which is, in my opinion, why this is not a deal. It will not be offered to everyone therefore technically speaking this should not be listed.

U sud be able to upgrade now look on the web they will match any offer....

regarding this deal OP it depends on how long u've been wiv t-mobile n how much money u spend each mth to get the discounts for fantastic deals like this for upgraded customers.
Nothing to do wiv 1/4 or 1/2 yr targets as sum1 said..

The best I have got is on a 24 month contract for £17.80
HTC hero free (T mobile are black)
I got 2 of these so slightly diferent for each one.
first one has :
300 minutes
unlimited internet
unlimited texts
free landline calls

Second phone has
300 minutes
unlimited texts
unlimited internet

This was originally negotiated on an 18 month contract :
Only to find on delivery it was a 24 month contract,T mobile refused to do it for 18 months and said if you don't like it send the phones back.

This is still a pretty good offer so I swallowed my pride and said OK .

This is a cool phone ..Just make sure T- mobile has good reception where you spend most of your time.

Just to add ...I was a new customer .I phoned at ten to nine on a Friday night and spoke to someone called Rachel

I got an upgrade with this phone 3 days ago, anyone know the 'cooling off period' (instore upgrade)

Also took out the mobile broadband dongle (7.2mbs) it pretty much half dial up speed all the time!!!

t-mobile version is black (on their website). 3 do the white version.

t-mobile wouldn't do a good offer for hero on renewal so went with magic from vodafone with 300 mins unlimited text and internet for £20 a month 18 month contract.

INstore NONE u've seen the phone n got ur deal sorry..

No offense to OP but i voted cold, I contacted T mobile after reading this post and they told me there was no way they could offer this phone on this contract at no where near this price.
#22
Good deal OP! wish i could get it.

If anyone is interested they do refurbs which don't seem a bad deal

I have the black version and it is T Mobile branded so i guess they do the black ones also.

I have to say this is the best phone imo that is out bar none. I have owned iphones, Xperia, Samsungs and N95 and this beats them all.
#24
Might try this tomorrow (:

i dunno if anyone else can get this deal or not , but i have it now . I was initially with Tmobile on a 18 month contract @20pm . It took me appx 30 odd days to get this deal , though I was aiming at [email protected] months/800mins/unltd internet /400 text , untill the lady offered me this . IMHO this is the best time to get good deals with Christmas just a week away . Cheers

thanks for the heads up op

but this "deal" really won't be valid for most of the people on here, and on people whos contract is up. Also the retentions team will look at how much u spent each month.

Deal seems ok, but its the dreaded 24 months contract!

i profer the previous deal, 18 months, free webnwalk, 800 minutes, 3000txt for £21.50 a month. This wasn't an upgrade too, new contract.

as for the phone. I LOVE IT!!
#27
AFAIK, the phone that T-Mobile ship is the G2 and it is available in black only.

As for the deal, I'll abstain from voting, since it is a 24 month deal, which I feel is far too long in the current market where there will be hundreds of brilliant new phones out in the next year or so.

Price is OK, but the is a retentions deal so is tailored to your individual usage, as mentioned above.

@Kirajai, good to hear you got a similar deal to the one I got. Out of interest, does your bill show up as £22.01 per month (as opposed to £21.50 per month). I'm certainly not going to complain at 51p/month, as that would attract undue attention to the tarrif I'm on, I guess. :)
