Hey first post.

Just seen the new HTC Mozart 7 phone at phones4u on pre-order.

The deals £27.50 a month for 18 months with a free phone
500 Minutes
3000 Texts
500mb internet

possible quidco/topcashback is £35 so bringing down the total cost to 460.

New Windows Phone 7 software looks impressive, worthy competitor to the iphone and android thats for sure.

The phone has a snapdragon processor and the best camera of all the windows phone 7 phones: 8mp but the big thing is the xenon flash, which seems to have got rarer nowadays. same size screen as desire screenwise but its got an aluminium unibody like the Desire HD

500mb of data is rubbish.
#2
also from orange shops/online the phones going to be £35 a month for 24 months so its a pretty big saving.
#3
can people please say why its negative?
#4
because it's windows phone os... The fact that it looks pretty good is nothing to do with it, just that people vote cold cos they don't like it... nowt to do with the deal...

BTW I voted hot... cos it seems pretty price...?
#5
its the new OS aswell incase anyone thinks its the old horrible 6.5 :P
#6
I'm really keen on this phone, Great specs, the whoole windows phone has been redone,

500mb is more than enough for everyday browsing and the price is GREAT defo hot from me

This looks like a good deal. And Win 7 is completly different and has had positive reviews so some people just do not know what they are talking about.

Well spotted.

Good price for a brand new phone.

i voted this as hot. Good price, and to those who voted this as cold because it's windows phone, they apparently do not know that this phone's os is significantly better than the winmo 6.5.

Hardware spec is very awesome, and the phone is very responsive (after seeing the video on youtube).

and 500mb is more than enough. And as far as i know, orange, o2, and vodafone all offers 500mb fair usage policy. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Im tempted by this phone but I voted hot as well. It seems a good deal. Im on orange but got a year left on my contract. The 500mb is standard on my contract and I never needed more as I only use mine to check twitter. So I might have to get this one sim free.

I think its the bare minimum and people shouldnt be happy with it. If you want to browse the net for an hour a day and look at the odd email then its fine but as soon as you start viewing youtube clips or streaming internet radio then its nowhere near enough. I have 2gb on mine and find that is a nice figure for what I use my phone for.

Ammo the only person who doesn't spend every waking hour on the phone/Internet OR hammering the likes of youtube?

I always managed on 500.

Maybe I just lack pretend mates. Heheh!
#13
HOT from me since this is the first proper confirmed deal from Orange, im gonna go into Orange tomorrow and see if they know more about any deals they are going to do. Maybe nip into o2 and see if they are gonna have good tariffs with the HTC HD7

I think the new WinPhone7 looks awesome, every Tom, Dick & Harry has got an iPhone and Androids don't interest me.

i've seen a lot of your posts and had a bit of respect, until i saw this.

i use a lot of mobile data, receiving in average about 100 work / personal emails. i browse atleast 10-20 webpages per day (mostly news sites) and for the fun of it, watch youtube videos once in a while. it's a windows phone, so i sync with myphone everyday, download shares, weather, gps locations every 15 minutes, etc. etc.

AND I DO NOT EXCEED MORE THAN 500 MB PER MONTH!

i'd probably say 500mb a month is plenty but does the xbox live / facebook / social aspects of the Windows Phone 7 OS being similar to iPhones (where notifications download automatically etc...) won't that use a lot of mb???

I've never had a phone that was capable of such things nor have i had limited WAP, mine was all unlimited on my last contract.
#16
I agree with above posts - 500mb is fine for browsing etc. Streaming will of course use up this much more quickly. I have yet to find the need to view you tube on my mobile phone outwith a wifi connection.

i think HTC are going to release there "new" 4g phone soon - when i was over in the US they were selling it and they said it would be over here soon. We used be ahead of america when it came to phones.....
#18
Well i must say that 500MB is fine for most people for now but when more services are integerated i think the requirements will increase.
These contracts are for about 2 years so i'm sure there will be more demand for data when there's HD videos being streamed, large (5-12mp) photos sent through emails, satnav imagery (google satellite view - better quality at greater zoom levels) and possibly large [HD] video uploads (since almost all smartphones have cameras these days), etc.

For me personally i don't think 500MB per month over 2 years is enough. Hell, it's not enough right now. :(

will this phone available on sim free?
#21
you'll probably be paying £400+ for it if it is
#22
Just e-mailed Phones4U and this is actually a 24-month contract (as the site now says).
