I think most phone manufacturers are moving away from the card-slots for some sucky reason... Think the Galaxy SIII will prob be the same!

cost vs use
My next phone will be the Huawei Ascend D Quad XL if the S3 goes the same way as the above phones.
This generation of phones are all pretty similar
Tegra 3 blah blah
Small stuff like no FM radio are a deal breaker
Brand starts to go out the window
coz they are all so similar

Manufactures can include internal memory with the speeds that they feel appropriate to meet the increasing needs of users, often much faster than anything Micro SD can achieve. As apps get larger and screen resolutions get larger more and more data is having to be transferred between the processor and the memory it the user creates a bottle neck by adding a slow SD card that can’t handle this requirement then it make the device look bad. I’m not praising it but that’s one of the reason Apple have never included an SD slot, that and the fact they make a larger profit on the large devices.
That said it’s still nice to have an SD slot for additional memory if you grow beyond what you phone comes installed with.
In the future if you’re wanting a phone with an SD slot you may be looking more at the lower end where it has been included with a small internal memory such as the HTC One Z not HTC One X, I wouldn’t be surprised to see other manufactures taking this same approach.
