So is this the one with dual core + 4G or quad core and no 4G?

•Android 4.0-powered smartphone with 1.5 GHz dual core processor and 4.7-inch HD 720p multi-touch display
•Runs on AT&T's expanding, ultra-fast 4G LTE connectivity (compatible with nationwide 4G HSPA+ network)

That description could have been pulled from anywhere; we don't have AT&T in this country.

If this really is the X then it has the quad core and no LTE/4G. The XL is the one with the 4G and a dual core snapdragon.

There is no way that phone will arrive if you order.

No the one x is available with both. On the specs from the ASDA site it says model TEL-PDA-00318 which seems to suggest it has Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon, Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait.

So either ASDA just cut and pasted it all or they are importing the dual core model from outside Europe.

That's only the American One X, which probably wouldn't even work on the 4G bands here. Asda have no reason to import it, it's clearly a cut and paste job.

HTC is supposed to be releasing the jelly bean update for this phone this month

http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/02/htc-jelly-bean-one-series/

Voted hot as its a great phone at a great price, mine cost over £500 at launch not so long ago.

ASDA sux, be carefull receiving cancellation email if you ordered it. Poor service. Also the price is just 10 or 20 pounds lower than others.

Might be a bit of confusion in this thread so allow me to help clear things up, bit of a mess in terms of their branding.

American HTC One X - Dual Core Snapdragon S4 and 4G, also far better sound quality

British HTC One X (aka "international") - Quad Core Tegra 3 (actually worse), no 4g and far worse sound quality

HTC One XL - Has benefits of American HTC One X and 4G may actually work in UK at some point

HTC ONE X+ - HTC doing what HTC do, unnecessary update with faster Tegra 3+ , unsure about sound quality, 64gb on board storage but no sd card still, 4G, and probably the reason why this is down on price

Got a one x, love it, had iPhones, windows phones, other androids, not a fan boy for any os, but have be honest love this phone, looks maze-balls, feels solid, never crashes, has no issues with demanding games tasks, battery is ok, find sound quality fine, only grip is camera not so good at low light levels. Would have been nice to have 4g compatibility, but as released back in first quartet before 4g looked like it was coming to UK before the next ice age it wasn't a factor, HSPDA I find more than fast enough at present for my streaming needs, hot hot

As someone who has had (yes past tense) This is a very powerful phone and fantastic screen, but some very major basic flaws people should be aware of. 1 Battery life is shockingly poor, mine did not make it from each overnight charge. 2. It will scrape if you look at it especially the camera lens which sticks out at the bottom so anytime you put it down its leaning on it 3. the power button is at the very top, meaning anytime you put in your pocket upside down it will reset itself which gets really annoying.
These things may sound trivial but multiply them over 12-24 months! why do you think they are now so cheap??

Battery on mine regularly lasts 2 days so don't know what ppl are moaning about. Did have to get the 1st one replaced though due to faulty GPS. Not perfect but at this price a no-brainer.

And woe betide anyone that breaks the screen or USB port or needs a new battery fitted, they have to be the most difficult phone ever made to repair.

Absolutely cracking price for a phone which is, in my opinion, better than the S3.

However, I can expect the price to further fall soon as this month will have both the release of the One X+ as well as the announcement of the next Nexus.
#21
Btw, OP should say that this price is only for the grey model. The white one is still £393.

i bought this phone 3 days ago for £249, grade A refurb from smartfonestore. it came yesterday and was in perfect condition, obviously used, but the owner had obviously taken amazing care of it. mot a single scratch anywhere on it. owner probably had it for a few weeks maximum.

£339.95 both Grey and White from Simply electronics 32 GB Quadcore version

It won't let me checkout says out of stock at the last part of the payment process.

This is smoking hot deal. Amazon is selling it for £379.99.

Just bear in mind that there are some known wifi issues in this phone before you make up your mind:-

I guess you were unfortunate I ordered the htc sensation xe when they sold it for £247 a couple of months ago. Had no problems with order and collecting it from store. Unfortunately I dropped it within couple of days it was even in a protective wallet/case but somehow I no longer had in call audio so took it back to asda and got a refund obviously didn't disclose the fact that i'd dropped it just that it wasn't working :p

You are lucky. I was told order was cancelled after 4 days I ordered it. That is one day after the estimated delivered date. Then I made a complain ask why this happened? Just replied sorry it is out of stock. When I asked it was still in stock when I placed the order, and someone later than me also got the item, then they ignored my complain. Shame.
