Amazon might not cover you, but HTC sure as hell would. Remember, this is HTC's flagship phone. It's like-new which means it hasn't been refurbished or anything, its just a simple customer return. The One X only came out in April 5th here in the UK and thus, it has an HTC international warranty until at least April 5th 2013 MINIMUM. However, this is August and chances are this is a device which was built within the last few weeks.
Edit: But on the other hand, remember to be fair and reasonable. This is around £180 cheaper than it would cost brand new sim-free. If it came with the same warranty as the sealed, new equivalent, everyone would buy this and HTC would sell some new ones. The warehouse is a deals store for this kind of sale, if you aren't prepared to take that risk then the warehouse isn't for you. But do remember you are saving a substantial amount of money. This isn't a refurb or anything. It hasn't been tampered with, its a simple return. HTC won't even know its been on Amazon Warehouse.

Heat added still!
Not really. Most flagship android phones start at around £500 on day one just to get lots from the people who pre-order or hardcore htc fans. Judging by Amazon stats, this actually started at more like £600. It's common for them to very rapidly drop to somewhere between £400-500 in the first few months. The One X I would say has held up very well, its still £438 new from Amazon direct.
Doesn't look like a rapid drop to me, other than the initial, standard rip off to begin with.
I do love the phone and at this price it is a bargain that's if you can live with some of the issues that some have very few are flawless and with the one x+ soon to come out may be worth waiting. ( I've had to send 4 back for various issues ( WiFi,screen flex, screen leak and new handset arriving with scratches)
I phoned them initially 2 months ago (the phone is around 20 months old now) and explained I bought it second-hand, thinking they'd require the proof of purpose for repair. HTC were great, and explained that they check the IMEI for the phone's true age, and they picked up by courier and returned it.
Alas, the same fault recurred a month later, and I'm sitting here with the HTC-supplied replacement. No grumbles from me. They were fantastic.
If things have changed re proof of purchase, I'm quite surprised as this recent warranty replacement is only in the last 10 days.

ahh yes i see your point, i forgot to take into account the old "you must have this phone from the day of release or you will be mocked by your friends" at the RRP. then 3 weeks later, something else comes along and they are reduced by 30% or free with kellogs cornflakes.
swines!
I can understand why they're reluctant to repair a phone that has such widespread faults, but that's their responsibility, I'd have thought. Why be sniffy about repairing a One X over a Desire HD that doesn't have proof of purchase (as I mentioned)? It doesn't make sense, and their Warranty should be consistent for ALL phones.

Very dangerous for you to write something like this. HTC can at their own discretion repair it but they don't have too. You may be leading people to buy this phone and then later find out, a bit of pot luck on whether they get warranty or not.
