HTC RADAR PAYG UPGRADE .:Unlocked Phone:. @ Phones4U (in-store only) - £71.95
Popped into P4U yesterday to pick this phone up at £79.99, only to find it's been dropped to £71.95!
This is a PAYG upgrade deal, so you need a PAYG SIM at least 6 months old, active and with enough credit to make a call.
This phone is superb, very elegant and well built, and a heck of a lot better than several Android offerings for the same price.
I know it's not an iPhone, but it's also not £500!
I've gone from a Palm Pre2 to this, and I love it!
This is my first deal on here, so please be kind :)

Also HTC movies every now and then do 5p rentals. As a media player the radar is amazing. You can boost your memory by getting the skydrive app too :)
NO better phone for the money / quicker than an SGS2

does it need mobile data to work?
You can download maps and directions/routes for use when you're offline. Quite a nifty feature!
one last question ... will they need to verify the sim owner at all with special passcodes or security info or do they not check ?

Not for Bing Maps, only Nokia Drive.

They'll check you have the sim with you and verify that it is active and has the number you say it has by making a call from it.
t r o l l .
another boring post , the clue is in his username ;)
having read a lot of reviews from owners of this phone 'muckspreader' seems to be spouting crap in this case.
