I hate 18 & 24 month contracts so have been looking for a good 12 month deal, no messy cashback to claim with a large data allowance and this is the best one I managed to find.

Any better deals out there?

T-Mobile G2 Touch Black £9.99

3.2 inch Touchscreen HTC Sense UI Intelligent Message Threading 7.2Mbps HSDPA & 2MBPS HSUPA Fast Internet Wi-Fi (b/g) A-GPS MicroSD Compatible A2DP Bluetooth

T-Mobile Combi 30 + Web n Walk Plus for G-Series [info]
300 cross-network mins + 200 texts + 3GB allowance for Web browsing & Emails 12 months

In total £430 for the whole year, minus £25 possible quidco.

you need internet on this phone which is an extra £5.00 per month

Have had mine for 3 months now with t-mobile and it's been back to them 3 times for software problems, now the gps is playing up and it will be going back again. Everyone I know who has one has had problems.

When it works it is a great phone but too unreliable
theres plenty of good deals out there ..

For 35 quid a month I'd want more than 300 mins and 200 txts

Got sameish deal about 3 months ago on Vodafone via mobiles.co.uk

Hate 18/24 months contract. I have a serious case of phone envy and even 12months is sometimes too long for me!!

£35 a month for 300 mins and 200 texts....cold.

and 3gb internet allowance and a HTC Hero on a 12 month deal.

The phone has been rated a hot deal @ £350 here
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/594993/htc-hero-sim-free-android-smartphon

so 300 mins, 200 txts and 3GB internet each month for a year = £55 (£5.59 a month)

Dont know about you "and everyone you know" but I know how to use the phone properly...

Also, internet allowance comes as std (quoted from the guys @ t-mobile) as this phone needs constant internet to get all the functionality going. (email/FB/weather/location etc etc)

As for the deal, not hot unfortunatly.

You obviously don't use a phone very often... If you can use a phone that will not connect with contacts, can't be reached by callers, cuts off mid way between conversations, won't send or recieve messages. And at present shows my currant location as Germany.. you are a GENIUS !!!! as I say 4 people I know have software issues with this rubbish phone !!!!!!!!!

www.Androidforums.com

otherwise, tell t-mobile or HTC that you have a lemon and get them to replace another. since it has 18 months manufacturers warranty (quoted from t-mobile people).

I've got mine to do everything I want it to do, i.e. instant updates on 3 email accounts, FB, skype, ability go online using the laptop (phone as a modem), laptop remote/presentation mouse, FTP. (oh and everything else a normal phone does)

I have two of these and one had msg issues but after a factory reset it was fine. 2 of my friends also have the same phone without any issues of what I know of.

Plus theres a 2.1 update which will be latest update that any android has.

You may have had a bad bit of luck there, but you really are spouting crap if you're claiming this phone is rubbish, and that someone appreciating it doesn't use it very often.

This phone is fantastic, was voted gadget of the year and I have had no problems at all with it. I use the internet on it daily, as well as using over 800 minutes and roughly 2000 txts due to my job.

Not so convinced the deal is a very good one unfortunately.
