Hello!
Looking for a new phone and wanted to get the HTC Hero but a little bit too much for me per month. So rang Vodafone and talked to them about the new HTC Tattoo. Anyways, to cut a long story short, managed to negotiate them down from £25 a month for 300 mins, UNLIMITED TEXTS and UNLIMITED EMAIL/WEB to £17.50 for 18 months.
Hope this helps others who want to try this phone out.
Oh, the phone is free.

Oh no not another i beat em down to so so price for so much....these deals are user specific so only really a deal for you.....other will try and fail...so cold for me..
#3
It may help some. I'm sure if it works for one, it will work for others...

I was offered this deal last week when trying to get the HTC magic deal. I hung up and spoke to someone else who was happy to do the same tarriff, same price but with the superior HTC magic.

I got this deal last week with the Magic thrown in, good deal IMO.

Magic will make a nice Xmas prezzy for someone as I already have a Hero! :D

totally disagree, and very negative.

at least now u know what limit they are prepared to offer for anyone who is not lazy to call up. Yes some may not get the deal, depending who they speak to on the day, but still u know its possible to go down to that price. Yes u can't go into a shop and buy this deal, but at least u know it is possible. haggling can be a little of fun too lol

As for the deal, sounds really good to me. Personally its hasn't got enough minutes for me but a great contract for anyone who is on a budget. Cant imagine the tattoo to be a poor phone either, the hero is a fantastic phone.

hot for me

dude i haven't tried asking, but the satio is a high spec phone, and the HTC tattoo is meant to be a lower spec andriod phone, so i honestly doubt u will get the satio for free.

as for what is better, it depends what u want them for as well

HTC tattoo is a andriod phone with lots of funtions, great for the web

Satio is more multimedia, and a camera/walkman phone.

Samsung Vodafone, it just samsung version of a touchscreen phone. Not great not bad

Be careful, I negotiated a £25 contract with Vodaphone down to £20 over the phone. When my 1st bill came in I was being charged £25 so rang them up and was told it would be sorted. Next bill came through and was still £25. I rang again and was told sorry but it was outside the cancellation period and they had no record of my having being promised the reduced monthly rate. They may have got an extra £5/month out of me for the length of the contract but they've lost a long standing customer for life.

Resistive touch screen on this rather than the capacitive type found on the iphone and the HTC Magic and Hero, I wouldn't touch it with yours!

Had an issue with Vodafone last night, turns out that the discount I was offered was for only 21 months of the 24....gave them a piece of my mind, got my contract term reduced to 18 months...if I don't get the confirmation letter by day 7 I will cancel my contract!

Talking of being duped I thought I'd mention my current wrangle with Vodafone...

Knowing I had renegotiated my contract last Nov for a tidy deal with only 12 month tie-in, we decided to look at what we could do this year as my partner uses the line and wants a new fone.

Went onto the online upgrade thingy and it told me my line rental was double what it was supposed to be. Checked my last couple of months bank statements, and they have been stuffing me for the last few months (I have had a lot more on my mind than checking it tbh).

I had negotiated a deal for £10 a month with no phone, minimal minutes and a 12 month tie in. Understood to be on that price plan for infinity.

Called up to enquire and they said completely different to what I had negotiated and blamed me. Apparently I signed up for a half price deal for 9 months and then after that it would go back to the 'normal tarriff'.

I do not have any documentation to prove and am absolutely fuming. Conveniently I was told to register online, which apparently stops your paper billing so unless you go looking you don't really see your bill.

They are also very keen to stiff me on a new deal, and have offered to sort out last times mess 'if I upgrade'.

To me I feel like I am being blackmailed into taking a new deal to sort the mess they cunningly devised last time.

I have been told that they should be able to sort it if I take a deal, otherwise I need to go online and complain as apparently you can no longer complain to a real person.

Vodafone's customer service is appauling. I have had numerous wrangles over the years, but this is one to many.

Buyer beware is all I can say about Vodafone, but then again buyer beware in general I think will anyone these days as customers are only secondary it seems.

PS. I was only offered £25 p/m for a HTC magic 75min/250txt/unlimited internet. Of course I'm sure this is negotiatable!

I rang up Vodafone again as the confirmation letter came through for the original deal, apparently unlimited internet not arranged even though on notes, took about fifteen minutes to sort out, as a discount for the term of the plan, got the girl to email me confirmation as a precaution....to balance I have found their customer service advisors to be courteous and friendly, even if they have managed to muck up twice so far, and the Nokia 5800 is a great phone!

split camp here, thats the wrong conclusion. Resistive much more accurate and better for typing, drawing, etc. Capacitance better for hitting icons and swiping

this is really a super phone for those that want something small. It you don't mind bulk and want the bigger screen, then get the HTC HD2 or Samsung Galaxy for Android
