The HTC Touch Diamond is one of the most advanced handsets to hit the mobile market this year. Brimming with the most up-to-date technology, the HTC Diamond is set to change the way mobile phones are classified and revolutionise the whole Mobile/Internet experience, giving the iPhone a real run for its money.

With Broadband-like speeds achieved through HSDPA and HSUPA wireless connectivity the HTC Diamond makes browsing so much easier, this is emphasised with the inclusion of a customised Web browser allowing for simpler navigation. Users can zoom in on web pages using the innovative scroll wheel and there is also a separate application for launching YouTube videos.

Incorporating touch screen TouchFLO 3D technology, the HTC Touch Diamond is beautifully designed and at only 11.5mm wide is incredibly sleek for a handset that comes packed with such an abundance of technology. It fits perfectly in the hand, has a beautiful gloss finish and its back has a unique diamond pattern that really sets it apart, the HTC Touch Diamond really is a Gem of a handset.

Beware, if Mobiles2YourDoor goes broke, you will still be tied to the 18 month contract with Orange without seeing any of the cashback.

Unfortunately PCPro don't think much of it:
Verdict: A frustrating phone in every way. Some excellent touches promise so much - including a great screen and web browser - but in use it's unbearably slow.

PC Pro talk a lot of **** - half their reviews are nonsense!

The phone is a little slow but there is a firmware update that is about to come out which will fix this (its not that slow - just slower than an I-Phone. It is faster than my Viewty!)

Its not the perfect phone - the menu system is not as good as the I-Phone and some of the buttons and things are just to small to use with your fingers so you have to use the stylus. The battery is also poor.

The screen is amazing (better than the I-Phone and the web browsing is better). Its also more compact. It also has a decent MP3 player but you have to buy an additional adpator to use your own headphones (the headphones in the box are RUBBISH!). The GPS works great too with google maps (which is ace) and I have TomTom 6 running perfectly!

I have been using the phone for a month now and would give it 7/10. Its looks and feels great, but its no I-Phone killer. The I-Phone is easier to use and the menu system works better all round. However the I-Phone (and I-Phone 3G) is no HTC Diamond Killer either. They will appeal to different sets of people.

Its a good phone and worth getting, just dont expect too much!
