You can get £35 Cashback if you use TopCashback, which works out at £6.94/month after Redemption and Quidco or £125 total.

REMEMBER: You CAN'T port your number to Vodafone with contracts ordered from Dial-a-phone, you HAVE to have a new number!

Make sure you cancel the 1 Month Free insurance and the 1 Month Free Gadget Helpline Support that you are forced to take out otherwise they will charge you £6.99 and £2.93 each per month, do that when you phone arrives. Here's how you cancel the Insurance and Gadget Helpline: http://i27.tinypic.com/30tnrbt.jpg

Here's Redemption information for posting off your phone bills: http://i31.tinypic.com/a1msfs.jpg

This phone comes with Android 2.1 O.S, Android 2.2 (Froyo) firmware for the HTC Wildfire will be out in 2-5months btw, it will add new features, improve the browser alot and be alot faster.

This comes with a 2GB Samsung Micro SD card pre-installed within the rear case of the phone, there's no slot on the outside of the phone.

Specifications: http://www.htc.com/uk/product/wildfire/specification.html

The phone is UNLOCKED, the only branding on the phone is the vodafone logo that appears when the phone is switched on, apart from that there's no branding at all. You need to remove the plastic sheet from within the phone to be able to use it as the battery contacts don't touch due to the sheet inbetween. The sim will be automatically activated within 48hrs of signing for delivery."

Sim Activation took around 1hr after receiving delivery :) Photos i've taken (.rar): http://www.sendspace.com/file/ijjggm

As you can tell its kind of dark grey and aluminium brown. Its all plastic btw but looks like aluminium with the paint they used. I've blurred serial numbers and my location incase you are wondering why there are blurs.

Good deal!
The link did not work for me - need to mention this is with dial-a-phone.

I think it's £40 cashback if you use quidco.

Looks like a very good deal to me.

However, when submitting deals you need to remember that even stupid people are allowed to vote, and anything as difficult as remembering to put some bills in an envelope and walking to the post office is too much for them. As a result they tend to vote anything with 'redemption' in the title as cold.

Good deal - hot from me

Thought would of went hotter i would buy this for £120 if i could.

Does anybody no how long dial-a-phone takes to process order with the credit check? most places only take an hour been waitng 3 and still says Processing Application.

- I'm an impatient person lol.

Great deal, it works at at the same £120 (£6.67/month) after redemption and quidco as the contract there was 1 week ago, only 100mins compared to 600mins but luckily i don't use it much :)

Anyone know if it will come unlocked? Anyone know how many cashback forms we need to send off and how long we have to send each off?
#9
Voted hot, despite dial-a-phone being a bunch of idiots!
#10
Looks good but its got to be at least 200 mins month for most out there surely?

I rarely make calls but easily eat up 100 mins a month

when i go to the checkout it says:

"When purchasing this package from Dial-a-Phone you will be unable to port your current number to Vodafone. For more details please contact 0800 183 7902"

why on earth can't i port my number :( i don't want to have to have a new number!

If anyone finds another deal (£120 after cashback/redemption) for the HTC Wildfire that allows number porting please post it as a deal.

Actually, thinking about it, if you just look at it as buying a Wildfire for 120 quid, you could always get a better sim?

Just ring Vodafone with the details of the deal and they should better the standard £20 a month at least. Dont think you will find it much cheaper without the redemption garbage

My upgrade is due next month so I'll be letting Vodafone know about this price and deal to see if they can match, else a new number it is ;-)

£40 cashback is alot tho, i'm just gunna order it and will have to text everyone my new number, hopefully the htc wildfire will let you select multiple contacts to send the text to.

cracking deal, ive used redemption offers from these before and never had an issue
one word of warning though, they 'usually' require a slip and a bill dated between 2 dates, most operators now use internet billing which means you 'might' need a printer to get a copy of the bill ;)
#19
I have just talked to Dial a phone. The person told me that if you get a contract phone from dialaphone, you cannot keep your number on any network (except orange).

I'm afraid you were talking to a pleb. From the DAP website:

Number Portability

Porting your number to Virgin Mobile

Virgin allow existing Virgin Mobile Pay As You Go (PAYG) customers to transfer their PAYG number to a pay monthly contract phone – whilst this isn’t strictly porting it's a nice feature to take advantage of if you are an existing Virgin Mobile PAYG customer. Once you have chosen the new Virgin Mobile offer you will be prompted to provide the number that you want to use – it's that simple!

If wish to port your number to Virgin Mobile from any other network follow the instructions for Porting your number to T-Mobile, Orange, Three, and BT Mobile.

Porting to Vodafone
We currently only support number porting when transferring to T-mobile, Orange, Three, O2 and BT Mobile, but not Vodafone.

Porting your number to O2, T-Mobile, Orange, Three, and BT Mobile

Please note that Porting means that you are transferring your mobile number from one Network to another and therefore it is not possible to port your number on the same Network.

To keep your existing number on the Networks listed above is very straightforward – just complete the following steps:

1) Place your order with Dial-a-Phone.

2) Contact your existing network or service provider to request your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code).

When you receive your new Dial-a-Phone package and it has been connected it will operate with a new number so that you can use your phone without having to wait for the port to be completed.

3) Contact your new network or service provider on the number below and quote the new number we have issued you, your existing number that you want to keep and the PAC.

4) Once porting has been complete, please update your account by clicking on My Numbers.

Network Contact Numbers:

* O2 - 0870 5860860
* T-Mobile - 0870 606 0139
* Orange - 0800 079 2222
* Three - 0843 373 333
* BT Mobile - 0800 032 2111

Good idea that. I've just emailed DAP to ask if the phone is locked to Vodafone and if there is any operator branding and/or software or it. I'll post back if I get any reply.
#23
There will be. I have a HTC right now, which was locked to BT. Required reflashing, but it was unlockable, and also meant I could install new ROMs on it too.

What's redemption? Very interesting deal this...

Redemption is whereby you post off your statements every 2-4 months depending on the company you bought from in this case "Dial-a-phone", if you post them back within a specified period (usually 2-8 weeks) then they post you a cheque for you to put in your bank, this way it ends up at £6.67/month. BUT if you forget to post it back within the specified dates then you don't get the money back so you wouldn't get the 11 months free so instead of £6.67/month it would be £20/month.

All you need to do is mark on your calendar when to post the statements back and the phone will work out really cheap. Dial-a-phone is hoping you forget, thats how these deals are so cheap because alot of people forget.

There's a website i can along that unlocks HTC phones via a code they send you, i think it was between £8-15 for the code. There's no free tools or ROM's that can do it unfortunately, that would be your only option for the phone to be unlocked.

My £40 Quidco just tracked :)
#25
I just hope it's unlocked as standard and even more importantly that there's no branding on it - absolutely hate that...

Amazing. I knew cheque-backs existed, but they were always for such small amounts. This one is huge!

When do you send the first claim in? 6 months after signing up or 6 months after receiving the phone?

It'd be six months from the bill-start date.

So, essentially, you are paying £20 for the next six months, then you send the bills off and keep recycling the money you've paid to them until the end of the contract.

Impressive deal!

Do they usually pay out for redemption deals? Never done one, but very tempted

Finally just had my order processed took around 6 hours said my phone will arrive thursday 15th YAY :)

I've done a few redemption deals with Mobileshop and DAP - both were ok for me as long as you follow the T&C. These deals are not for disorganised people - as already stated, Dial-a-phone are hoping you forget (many do) and that's how these deals work out so cheaply for the ones that do remember.

Incidentally, if you want to contact them by email you could try either of these:

Yes i've done 2 with different companies, they work fine as long as you read the redemption information and make sure you do EXACTLY as it says, make sure you post your statements via RECORDED delivery, don't take chances otherwise they might claim they didn't receive it then you are screwed.

Very few people in the UK know about these deals, most of my friend phone up providers asking for their best deal on a certain phone and pay £20-30/month and no cheques back and no quidco but that costs a bomb, these are way cheaper as long as you are organised and willing to print out order details and posting them with your phone statements every few months then you're quids in :)

I'm not sure if you need to cash the cheques by a certain date but its best that you do just in case, don't take any risks and you'll be a happy camper!
#33
Thanks guys, Do you get more details about claiming once you have bought the phone?

Yeah the details of how to send them, what info they should include and how often to send them are in the box when it arrives, don't lose it!

This page will tell you how to claim redemption and when to do it, i just tried it but my phone details aren't in the system yet but in 2 days i'm sure they will: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=29755595&postcount=4

You'd probably have to pay £20/month with no redemption so there's not much point. Just use it either as a PAYG phone at the end of contract or ebay it for ~£100 ish and get another redemption deal off hotukdeals.
