  No I think they have always used Tmobile. However, since Tmobile and Orange merged to become Everything Everywhere, Everything Everywhere are letting them use both orange and tmobile's coverage.

  Virgin have never used O2. Maybe you're getting mixed up with one2one which later became T-Mobile.

  Didn't think this would get so cold... can't understand why some people are so averse to 24 month contracts.
  
  Suppose the above is better depending on your needs. Personally I get through 250 mins in a week some months.

  Depends, gg seem perfect for heavy texters and data users but if you want minutes, they are pretty naff - sometimes it is just easier to ring than send 5 texts!
  
  1k minutes with 1/2gig of net for 16ppm seems an ok deal imo if you need minutes.

  Remember seeing some offer in Virgin shop for a reduced rate of you had Virgin XL phone. I looked at the 10.99 product and was reduced to 7 I think.
