Hmm I've got an OSF my self and the screen is like awesome compared to the wildfire. I have the OLED and I think it's changed now to LCD or something'' I had the choice of both and went with it, running 2.2; japanese jellyfish :)

Got one of these just after Christmas at this price (daughter also got one) excellent phone! I had a problem with battery life at first, but found out it was because wi-fi was enabled constantly, now wi-fi's turned off unless I need it and battery life is great. :)

Yes. HTC every time

know not much about this HTC wildfire. since the CPU is not very fast, does Andriod run slow and sluggish? I used to have Orange SF. even with 1GHz processor I felt Andriod doesn't run very smooth.

You need to state in the title that it requires a compulsory purchase of a £10 topup, which takes the price up to almost £140.

Your description plus the price is misleading.
This phone will cost almost £140. Update your original post otherwise it is inaccurate.

Aaahh man, your initial comment was far more entertaining. Don't be scared of the comeback.

if you go in store and already have a payg sim then you don't need to pay the £10 top up, you will get it as an upgrade. this is what i done on thursday. also my phone was unlocked and unbranded

i went from a nokia n73 to the wildfire and i find the screen to be great, i'm sure if you put it next to a phone with a better resolution screen then it might look a bit ropey. i had the same concerns as you but now i have it i am more than happy with the phone. my advise would be to go to a mobile shop and have a look at one and don't listen to other people, if i did that i probably wouldn't of brought one myself. it all depends on what you have been used to using in the past.

if you take the phone price and then add on the £10 top up it comes to £139.99 then take off the £6.50 for quidco you get £133.49, that's assuming that quidco will pay up of course

That isn't allowed.

whether it's allowed or not is irrelevant to me as i didn't post the deal, i was just informing mascherano how the op got to the final price as i thought that was what he wanted to know. obviously i misunderstood what he wrote

Yeah good shout.

I have a Desire HD.

I've got another contract that has just expired on a Nokia 5800 - I've got an upgrade to a Desire (not HD) that I plan on selling and buying either 2 x San Francisos or 2 x Wildfires (i'll have to add a bit of cash myself for this option) for my daughters. I was tipping towards going for the San Frans but not sure now.

Just bought an HTC Wildfire unlocked at Phones 4U shop in Cardiff. As mentioned in other posts, because I already had a PAYG sim with Orange I didn't have to pay the £10 top up. Bargain!

which one is better?
galaxy 3 (i5800) or wildfire?
