Not sure it needs much introduction, not sure how many there are around the country but worth looking..

Vodafone have released Ice Cream Sandwich for it.

not good imo
Thanks, I'll file this deal under "no good for the inarticulate", although I guess we'll never know the reason why...

Honestly, a great phone. I bought mine from Very for 89 quid. Had an Orange Monte Carlo before. This phone is 10x the OMC. 100% worth it. Only thing I gotta ask, wnow that the ICS upgrade has been released, how come I can't see it on software upgrade? Says no upgrade yet
#6
ICS hasn't been rolled out for the UK G300 yet. They tried it in NZ but it obviously wasn't up to scratch, so we're still waiting for the UK release.

Has anyone else seen these in store??

How did you manage to get ICS on your parents phone? Official or root?

You can install pics rom infusion by tilaz from Modaco.com. amazing rom which unleash full potential of this phone. I am typing on my g300 with infusion rom.

tillaz is great. really, really nice phone. had 3 for friends and family.

i checked the huawei website, no official ICS update yet, but a really good phone as i got one for my wife and she loves it.

They've released B936 in the UK, which is a slightly buggy release of ICS. This phone is nice, but it's still not as smooth as it could be (even with customs roms). Not bad, but worth looking into the chinese phones.

By the time you've spent half the day phoning Asda's around the country then having to drive fifty miles to pick one up, why not walk into your local Sainsbury's where it is on the shelf for £100?
I know - it's not in the spirit of Hotukdeals.
Look's a good phone mind-you.

Sounds like a good idea. Do all Sainsburys stock it?

G330 here we come

Speaker quality is quite bad. Mic quality isn't too good either. But what to expect from a cheap phone.
#31
What store IN NI?
#32
If it ever goes down to £60 again I am getting one. :)
#33
I looked for this in every supermarket near me yesterday and couldn't find one for sale anywhere. Plenty of the hyped up HTC Desire C at £94 on voda (needs debranding instantly) but that's got a low rent cpu on it so not worth it.
#35
I bought one when they were in the Orange shop and paid £110 + £5 to unlock and can honestly say it's the best phone I've ever had.

I rooted it straight away (took a few hours following the steps) and installed ICS. It can play most things I throw at it (only Granny Smith and GTA3 hasn't worked) and it's still superfast even though I've filled it with a lot of junk. Speaker quality is fine if you upgrade the ROM as soon as you get it.

I use an A2DP bluetooth headset with mine and can voice control it. It reads texts to me as they come in but I could set it to read anything I want. When they get the Bluetooth working on the Jellybean custom Rom I'll be upgrading and that way I can use the Google Now Voice control.

Anyone that wants to spend £400 on an I-Phone or even another Android phone needs their head looked at when this can do most for a fraction of the cost.

A deal that is nearly 3 months old?

My local in Heaton Newcastle upon Tyne had them in on Saturday. On vodafone. Probably need to buy a top-up although I didn't look too closely as I didn't really need to spend £100 that day.

Nice phone pity I had 3 with screen blob issue, wife's has been fine however !

And your point is what exactly?

I have bought the last one from Slough Asda 2-3 weeks ago when my purpose was to check the San Francisco 2 deal. I couldn`t get SF one although was glad from the result. I have asked if they have any more but they said it was the last one. I think it is old stock which is supposed to be cleared out however it wasn`t marked as a deal or clearance something.. Blind luck in my opinion( if this is the correct word to explain) :)
