Jump to unread Post a CommentThe volume issue is a firmware bug install 885 or later and the volume is fine. Also turn off the increasing volume option on the ringtone the default is on so the ring starts very quietly. Disable and it will ring loud from the get go. So to fix 1) Install 885 firmware from Vodafone 2) Disable the increasing ringtone option.
BTW unlock is £5 from cellunlocker pro on ebay.
Cases £2.99 from China or £6.99 in the UK
Software and ROMS free from Modaco allow you to debrand and add new features.

The issue with the low volume of sounds and incoming calls has now been resolved with an over the air update. If you have not yet updated your Ascend G300 you should have had or soon have a notification to download this update. To see if you have been sent this notification press the captive button on the bottom left of the phone, choose 'notifications' in the popup box and follow the instructions. Make sure your phone is connected to WiFi. This update will take about a minute to install
due to the top of the phone and curve around the bottom also being silver im guessing this is possibly not the black version lol but the colour isn't stated on play.com
My brother has one of these Huawei G300's and I've owned an original ZTE Blade OLED phone for a long time. Having used his phone I have to say it is well worth the upgrade which is why I'm keen on getting one. But only the black version of the phone since it looks less tackier than the white one.
Why bother securing a 3 month exclusive period if you are going to sell the thing for half the price of your rivals as well? That makes no sense.

i think this was a marketing idea to draw people to the phone and also to get new customers to the vodafone network then after their exclusive period is up its possible that vodaphone will also up their price to match other retailers and their rivals sort of like just a thing to draw people in at this price..
Got a brand new vivacity if your looking for a swap? Save you losing cash on ebay. If you want to go ahead may a sale thread and drop me a link to it.
Me and my Bro both had Blades, and he just upgraded to the Ascend, and he loves it. I tried it and whilst I'm still happy with my Blade, it certainly seems like a big step forward. The big screen is very nice, and having a flash and decent camera are both very useful too.
You know you can be helpful and polite at the same time instead of moaning and derogative.
Then maybe people would listen to you.

Same here mine was unlocked too!
The B888 is NOT an official ROM, and if you install it and have to return it later on for some reason (and because of the build quality chances are it will go wrong) the warranty will be void! So be aware. No, you cannot go back from B888 to earlier official ROM's.
