Honor 6X comparable to Moto G5 Plus cheapest 209.99 with sim all three mobiles unlocked Amazon £224.99 - I have recently bought this dual sim card and twin camera with depth sensor all very nice aluminium body battery lasts two days and sips juice great phone. Previously owned IPhone 7,6 Nexus 5X and Moto G4. Id say this is somewhere between Nexus 5X and IPhone 6,7 and a great crossover from iOS users as EMUi interface apes apples iOS.

Two things wrong with Moto G4 that this has is

*NFC

*Compass

So android pay and google maps walking mode easily used

Is it used as part of the navigation (especially when you use your phone for navigation walking so you can turn the phone to see which direction is which)?

This is better than the P9 Lite, but the same as the P8 Lite (2017) really. Such stupid nomenclature.

Both are totally outclassed by Lenovo's P2 also available on 3. P2 has NFC too, so Android Pay is there.

To be honest, bar the Chinese phones, I can't see any reason why anyone would not buy a P2 under £200.

Good deal for this though and perhaps if you like a sleeker design the 6X will serve well

Great phone, great price. Nice screen (5.5" 1080p), decent camera, NFC, fingerprint reader, 3Gb RAM and a battery that lasts for 2-3 days between charges. Even the aluminium build is unheard of at this price. EMUI is fine but I just use Google Now launcher.

My wife has the Moto G4 - that's a really good phone for the price too but this feels like a flagship at a budget price. No comparison.

No fingerprint sensor on P2. AMOLED screen is terrific though. Horses for courses I guess...both are great choices at this price.

I bought the 6X from Three a few days ago. it was a toss up between the this and P2. The specs are great on the P2 however the camera put me off. So far the 6X has been great, camera is amazing, battery is around 75% at the end of a working day and the software is amazing with some really nice features.
My son has the P9 Lite which is also great however at just £20 more you get a much better camera.

there's some great YouTube reviews available. check out Damir Franc for a non techy review or geekyranjit for a more detailed review.

I bought a gold 6X from Amazon last week and it has NFC. EU/International model has NFC. US model has no NFC.

I bought from VMALL - Expansys on release. same price. Really impressed. Excellent battery with loads left at end of day. good camera. fingerprint unlock falls naturally to hand. Has NFC. Tap to print on Samsung colour laser. Buy one. you won't be disappointed.

What about the bands? Does it have all the bands to run with every provider in UK? As for example Vodafone?

I had the Honor 6 which was 5.2" and that was perfect for me. Big phones and tight jean pockets just don't really go!

bought a P9 lite with the emui 4 launcher recently and was pleasantly surprised by it. pretty decent although lack of an app drawer was puzzling (corrected in emui 5). the fingerprint scanner is more useful than i thought (i have a nexus 6) and we nearly went for a p8 lite 2017 til we saw the review on YouTube regarding the screen coating. now a fan of (most) Huawei phones for the price.

Their naming is so confusing. Is the 2017 P8 lite called the p9 lite in the UK?

I really want an Honor 8 but still waiting for the price to drop back down :( been waiting ages lol.

They are 2 very different Animals, lol. :-)

P8 Lite is a 'budget' version of its more expensive bigger brother the P8 .. and the P9 Lite is a 'budget' version of its more expensive bigger brother the P9.

Both Phone 'variants' of it's more expensive relative are unique to themselves alone.

They are not the same thing 're-Branded' as such, for different Countries, etc ...

If it's anything like either the P2, and/kr P8 (as some above suggestions are suggesting it is such?).

Then I'd say yep!. :-)

And at less than half the $'s of a new S5 also ...
#33
Thanks, so this is definitely unlocked? Also is there any way to avoid the £10 top up? Thanks again

Was sub £300 on vmall and Amazon over black Friday. £289/£279

There's actually three 'lite' phones. Original P8 lite, the P9 lite, and now the P8 lite 2017, which is a better spec than the P9 lite lol.

thanks it's between this and the p2 I'll have to look at some comparisons to see what to go for
#37
Doesnt the P2 have a horrible youtube lag issue thats all over the internet and a dreadful camera?

I have the 5X which I am very happy with. Unfortunately, this cannot accommodate two SIM cards and a microSD card, so that's a downgrade.

See Post #39 where I link to a comparison between the phones. Personally I'd get the Huawei unless you need NFC.
