Seems like a great deal. :) For info, here's a comparison of the old P8 Lite vs new P8 Lite vs P9 Lite

Edited By: MPLP on Mar 03, 2017 14:17: P9

Very strange deal as its the P8 Lite and not the P9 Lite. As the P9 Lite was just £139 before Christmas, not hot or cold for me.

Could this be an error on the Voda website and its really the P9 Lite?

confirmed with vodafone . this is single sim phone.

P8 lite is actually a newer phone

This new P8 Lite seems a very similar spec to the old P9 Lite - are they actually the same phone but just repackaged in a new casing?

Is it worth upgrading to this over an original P8 (not Lite)? Had mine 2.5 years now and still going strong apart from the battery which barely lasts me through the day :(

Cheers

How does it compare to honor 7?
Such a stupid naming system? Will there be a p10 lite then?

From what I have read the P9 Lite is a much better phone than this. The only real winner with this one is the newer version of android.

Just a word of warning as well, I bought my son the P9 Lite from Vodafone and getting a third party unlock took a while and was around £15.

One of the reviews on Vodafone say that it came unlocked with out any Vodafone software or branding.

FHD screen, 3gb ram, Android 7 and fingerprint sensor. What's not to like. Hot.

Been told this phone is already unlocked reading the vodafone website reviews customers saying

Single sim. If your gonna buy a China phone at least buy a real one.

Had a play around with this in a Vodafone store today, I was really impressed with it, you get a lot for your £149 (159). The wife's in the market for a new mobile, budgets £160 (its a sign lol) looking to replace her dated Moto G (3rd Gen) with the new Moto G5 but we may have found a new contender in the Huawei P8 lite (2017).

Is there a huge difference between the camera on the 2017 P8 lite as against the new moto g5?

Like little_green mentioned, I've never heard of Vodafone coming unlocked, Vodafone bloatware on my last mob too but that was a long time ago but maybe things have changed. Today I ventured back into the Vodafone shop on the passing just to lay it to rest and as expected its locked.

There isn't much in it camera wise when comparing to the basic Moto G5 imo, the G5 Plus will be a different story.

I took some pictures with the P8 Lite (2017) in-store yesterday, 2 of the Vodafone shop, 1 close up of the display card showing the specs and one through the shop window looking onto a shopping mall. Opened up the gallery for a swatch at them and they all looked really good.

Specifications linky below.

on GSM arena web site shows no gyro sensor. but most people said it has Gyro sensor.
Huawei P8 Lite (2017) UK Model does it have Gyroscope? if yes can you take a screen shot? use Sensors Multitool app or CPU Z from Google Play store to see what sensors it has then take screen shot for proof. thanks
P.S. Gyro scope is for VR virtual reality or Pokemon go game using your camera to see monsters sitting on your bed, carpet etc,

not even worth £200 with no quick charge
