Still stock in many shops, and probably a better option now that it seems the online ordering requires £20 top-up as it should take a while before the shops implement the increased to-ups.

Use the EE STORE FINDER and ring around to confirm price and availability of handset.
Several shops without stock have confirmed they would get new stock delivered on Friday, 4th November.

For those mentioning about the £8.99 charge for the unlocking, this cost usually comes out of the mobile top-up balance from EE PAYG phones, so even if you are charged, you will not have to spend any extras (as you've already that to pay for the £10 top-up). Obviously, that will leave a £1.01 balance on your SIM, which should not be a big deal since what most people will be interested in is the actual handset, not the £10 top up. Of course you will need to make sure your balance can cover the cost of the unlocking.

In spite of the thread from a few weeks back saying that EE should now be unlocking PAYG handsets for free, it seems as if the website is contradicting such information. Going through the unlocking online at myaccount.ee.co.uk the message seems to be that still costs £8.99. No big deal. Worst case scenario you use the top-up money for the unlock, best one, you get to keep the £10 balance and an unlocked handset.

are you serious? ive just ordered this p9 lite now.

I bought a moto G4 for one member of the family and a P9 Lite for another and I will take the latter anytime. The G4 is a excellent phone for the price (especially when it was on sale) but it does feel like you get what you paid for (i.e. cheap) even though the specs are very good for the price. The P9 definitely performs better and feels more and punch above its weight of a £250 phone, so £129 for G4 or P9 (ignoring the top up), I know which is the better bargain and phone

btw if you are not sure I think there is a 14 day cooling period with EE

I bought it for £199 and for £129 is a real bargain! Wish this deal was on earlier :((

I think it's down to individual taste.
Stock android vs Huaweis skin
Specs are very similar. Camera on both will perform well in good light and will suffer significantly in indoor/ poor light conditions. Cheapest version of g4 is not a dual sim, this one has a hybrid second slot. P9 has nfc , better pixel density + more handy size.

Had the P9 Lite for a couple of months now, i owned the moto G before it (last years model) and a sony Z1 before that. This phone is fantastic and alot better than the old Moto, easily as good as the Z1 if not better. My other half got the P9 2 days ago and the difference between the lite and the full P9 are very small from me playing with it. Highly recommend this phone :)

This site is worse than horse racing, voting is totally unpredictable oO

I nearly bought one of these, but was put off by most reviews about colour accuracy?

Kind of tempted

Voted hot . Just ordered been trying to get this for a while. Missed what i was after this time last year with a Sony phone. Looked at this in store but prices have been hiked everywhere recently and cheapest has been Giff Gaff at £199. But they are out of stock.

This is cheaper than regular G4, let alone G4 Plus.

No, you would need to get it unlocked, but its free and can be done straight away on PAYG.

Seems like there must be a catch, great spec for the price, hot from me. Curious why this would be voted cold?

Typical hukd herd mentality. Once the deal catches cold the rest of the herd blindly follows.

This spec makes it comparable to some of the no-name Chinese phones

The irony is, your supplied link os at -26%, whereas the OP's Dral for exact same Product is rather at 46% ALREADY? (& Posted some 9+ hours too, AFTER the original one!).

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, go figure?.

I agree this site gives wierd heat somedays ! The OP said Hot others have not? I think this is a good deal if you have a small(ish) budget for a new phone I don't need one but I'm probably still going to buy one.... :) & i was trying to avoid the normal "already posted" reply sorry 'ianmcleod' ;)

How easy to unlock?
Most networks are a carry in say they will unlock for free up usually require top ups and active sim for at least a few months or if o2 a year!

I believe there's something in there somewhere that may help you out a wee little:

Why should you be able to unlock your mobile for free?

https://conversation.which.co.uk/technology/mobile-phone-unlocking-free-providers/

Unlocking EE phone was £8.99 now FREE

And/or this too:
