Heat, looks like a lot of phone for the price.
Similar to the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 4 (etc.) but slightly lower Antutu score, though you don't have to wait for the slow boat from China.
Oh, and it has Band 20 before anyone asks. :p

I think the £159.99 price includes a pair of Beat's EP headphones.

it's a cracking handset. I have one on Vodafone.

Heat added, I'd would also add extra heat because you're a Claret like me!

Hot . Huawei have just started releasing nougat for the P9 in China and they have been beta testing in Europe for a while, so fingers crossed it should be available in the next month or so.

I picked one up at the start of the month at this price, but display price was different in four ee stores. If you can get the staff to stop chatting to each other for a minute they should confirm the price. Good phone for the money.

8.99 is if youre not registered as an EE customer. you could buy a payg sim (or the one with the top up) register the aim and device in an online EE account then you can request free.

as to the top up at 20 rather than 10.....that's frustrating. perhaps get them to ring central office or something when there to get their facts right.

I'm using the p9 like, it was an upgrade from a Sony z3 compact. It's fast enough for me. one downside, it doesn't have a gyroscope thing so google cardboard stuff doesn't work as expected.

Seems it's store specific deal. Not national.

Got the phone in the EE package deal with the beats headphones about a month ago. Great phone - use the sim and wait a week and you can unlock free via website.

You just need to persist and read out the part of the website which states it is free and where it explicitly states the 6 months is only for contract customers. I did this, they changed their tune quickly.

Also. Make sure you get a tempered glass screen protector for this phone, it's got cheap glass and scratches very easily.

I think (if I'm not mistaken and you can tell me), that on this model, the 'cheap glass' is in fact a factory-fitted plastic screen protector that you can remove which exposes the actual high-quality glass. This is a great handset in all respects, and stunning value for money.

By cheap glass I mean it's *not* scratch resistant Gorrilla Glass that other handsets have. And yes, there is a useless factory fitted 'screen protector' that fails to protect it. It's a shame because it's a really great phone otherwise.

You can unlock as soon as you get the phone. log on to my EE. Got a payg phone 2 weeks ago online. requested unlock code the same day it was delivered.....code emailed within a week. It's pretty easy and free

Did they do this in-store or did you have to contact CS?

Can Anyone comment on the truth of the 16gb? I have a 4x with "8gb" internal storage, but it is less than 2 in reality, making the phone virtually unusable.

16gb storage - around 5gb software etc. = around 11gb left.

Bought in store last week. But still waiting for unlock code 7 days later. My store (Boston) was £10 top up on gold (£159), but £20 top up on the cheaper (£129) black one.
