That's the risk you take for such low prices, but like you say you've got PayPal to back you up if things go wrong so overall there's no problem.

Never bought from gearbest but have so from Banggood. Bought a drone and both parts of the charger were faulty out of the box. Customer service was good but slow. Nearly two days for an email response

I've ordered, I couldn't resist this.
For anyone who might be put off of drones after losing one - You can't lose this, if it goes out of range it will return to home.

Guys two of the prop screws don't fit properly. Looks like a recall.
Thats a shame.Where will you need to return it?
Apart from that the delivery seems quick enough.

Are you sure you are screwing them in the right way? two are standard thread, two are reverse thread... though the instructions tell you to use black and silver for a and b separately, they don't tell you about they are threaded differently.

This flies well... really impressed.

Yes you're correct, the black ones required a fair amount of force, that screwdriver wasn't adequate. When you first lift off the ground does yours shoot up into the sky and you have no control for a time? I thought I had lost mine first flight.. it just went up and up and up and I had no control whatsoever. Mine is really erratic and seems to do its own thing, shoots into orbit, falls out of the sky etc :(
Also the battery indicator often shows one bar then when the drone comes down the battery goes back up to showing as charged. No way of knowing how much battery I have left, it seems like the drone is just constantly losing signal with the controller or something.

Anyone who knows anything about drones, then your second comment completely contradicts yourself, hilarious. If you are actually an experience user you'd know that GPS is a nice to have but is NEVER a last resort or something to rely on. If you can't fly it back to you without GPS you shouldn't be flying. Even £800+ Phantoms have fly aways when the GPS goes haywire and it flies off to nowhere and all the helpless pilots who never learnt to fly watch it go off into the distance where it will hopefully not land on a main road and kill someone.

Also the GPS in this is pretty awful, did you see in that review how long it took to get satellites. My APM/M8N get's 12+ satellites within about 30 seconds outside and gets at least 6 within a minute inside (within 2m of a window).

It's not a bad deal per se, but it encourages lazy pilots, also it's a lot to spend on a quad with brushed motors.

Your comment doesn't make any sense. I was unlucky and got a faulty drone, this deal is still good for the cheapest GPS camera drone on the planet. Perhaps ask Quadcopter 101 which of his quads he likes the most.

you sure its got a bind? I struggled with this initially but it was because it hadn't set the compass correctly. Reset the compass and it seems fine last few flights. It did this early on and I lost it 50ft up a tree, fortunately it came down two weeks later after 80mph winds...

It seemed to be like you said, although, the drone is good for nothing now as it doesn't take off.

If you ask me, I would suggest the Hubsan X4 over Syma 5. Both rival for each other. But my personal opinion, Hubsan has better design and a lot more easier for maneuverability. Sometimes, when crashed it so many times, it is still works. But in the end it really depend on personal experience. Maybe someone got bad experience with it. But you can read the full review https://dronepedia.xyz/hubsan-x4-h107l-review/ and decide for yourself
