It's a glue making machine. You just shove horses in it.

5000 watts. It must be a room heater

WOW a device with a 1500w input but outputs 5000w - a complete miracle of zero point energy.

Short term bursts from stored energy, like all amplifiers perhaps. ;)

Ordered 2 of these bad boys, no idea what they are meant to do. I guess I can flip them on eBay if the order goes through.

Hi

How did you get the NUS discount? It expired on 31 August -- Amazon seem to have a new student deal which does not include all items.

Thanks
Mike

Can I attach them to my focus mk2. What else do i need?
#13

Ahh indeed, they don't seem to accept new students with a new NUS card since AUg31st:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201513510
But I would imagine the offer still aplies to current students until the expiration date of their card

Can confirm this does NOT apply to existing NUS students (before to Aug 31), just says not applicable

No, looks like the 5% discount for student days are over -
the small print:
"Discount codes expire on 31 August 2016 and the cumulative value of items against which each code may be applied is capped at £75."

Edited By: plap on Sep 06, 2016 13:08: corrected a typo

I really don't need these, and I really can't think of much to do with them, maybe a shed-woofer..? Ordered, hot! X)
If they arrive, it'll cost me far more to make a box big enough for a double-driver tapped horn sub for these, and get a suitable 12V power supply. But hey, fun!
Exactly my idea.

Amazon going to keep our money for couple of days before refunding ?

mis-price, no way, it is missing a "0" in the price.

What speakers would you recommend to combine with this for a 2.0/2.1 channel setup for music (mainly metal but other stuff too)?

Some in-car ones?

what would I need to pair up with a chromecast audio?

If I receive this, which I now doubt (!) and I don't want to fit it into my car, can this be used to complement an existing hi-fi set up? I've got my trusty NAD 302 still working away in the front room, attached to a pair of Q Acoustic speakers, turntable, TV, PS3 etc..

ordered sub and amplifier any way,

The speakers will run at a different ohms rating so simple answer is no... but thats not to say it won't work ... I wouldn't though

Actually it's yes. this can do 4 ohms no probs and most speakers are 4+. Anything above 4 will work fine no problem. though if you wanna use it inside yer gonna wanna buy a 12V psu. I'd go for something about 250W. It wont be pulling anywhere near that unless you had a constant loud bass tone playing through huge speakers.

Sure. tbh you could wire it to all of them but to make sure the resistance isnt too high (ohms) you'd need to sequence the wiring on groups of em and parallel those groups together so its still about 4-8 ohms.. You could even do it with a weak amp it just wouldn't be able to go loud at all and would probably crackle if you cranked it right up. But with this thing you'd be able to get a decent volume with a few fair sized speakers.

I cancelled my order. It didn't seem right to take advantage of a company's misprinted pricing for an item I don't want
