#2

#3

#4

[mod]#5
What's the contract length please, 12 or 18 months?

I'm guessing the handwritten paper with the x12 could means 12 months. Not sure though, doesn't make much sense.

You can only run one Q-mini box off the 1TB Q main box and store 150hrs of downloads whereas with the 2TB box you can run 4 Q-mini boxes off it and 250hrs of downloads and watch them on any mini box using only the one viewing card and all mini boxes are wireless and you can move them to any room in the house that has a TV without an LNB lead needed anymore. 2TB much better and get your mini boxes when you order otherwise £99 per box after. No more service call charges either or paying for replacement equipment including remotes either.

yeah, £99 for the 2tb box though... for a family of 4 like me 2 adults 2 kids this package is great and cheap for what it is

I called Sky today to see if they'd do any deals for existing customers, quoting the CPW offer similar to this - told me I could pay the full price if I wanted it :(

I was under heavily discounted contract with sky and I looked online to upgrade to Sky q. I got free Skyq main box and a £99.00 for 1 minibox but then you dont pay the fee for the multiroom £12.00 currently.

The Mrs always complains saying she'd prefer a huge package but I'm pretty sure we have all available channels....

So the same deal as the CPW one ?

Currys and Carphone are doing £11.31 for Capped Fibre(25gb) Line Rental inc Anytime Calls and Box Set bundle or you can upgrade for an extra £10 to unlimited fibre.

Hi, I'm a bit puzzled about how you can put sky in a partners name if you already have sky. Don't you have to give 30 days notice to leave as well?

Dad signed up for the fibre max deal but he was charged 39.99 activation fee. Seems other have been charged £10 activation fee though???

On another note, if you are on a communal dish the installer will most likely give you a Sky HD box instead of the Q (unless you can get him to install a seperate dish for your Q) although some they can upgrade for Q but need to contact your building manangement company.

Who will need to arrange for the company responsible for maintaining the dish and distribution system/cables to perform some alteration work.

How on earth do you get these prices? I've tried the Sky store and the Curry's comparison and i end up with either completely different deals or £72 a month!

Not really. Balk at paying £297 to have Sky loan me the boxes too.

Heres a quick heads up on how to get the 2TB and mini boxes on the cheap.(I work for them and only just processed a sale before I left the office tonight). If you have multi-screen already then first call and put in a cancel notice for your multi-screen and ask for any discount on the TV package that youre already on. Then call the next day and order your SKY Q package and instead of £99 for the 2TB box and mini box you will get these for £30 and £15 respectively so £45 for the two boxes in total and then ask for extra mini boxes @£30 each when you first order or when you call back later they will be £99 each. One monthly £12 multi-screen payment covers all mini boxes and you can use up to 4 of them with the 2TB box. Only one viewing in the main box and no more wires so you can move the boxes to anywhere you want them without needs for a lead from the dish. If you purchase a pay per view event you are able to watch it on any of the boxes aswell. Engineer will also install wifi boosters if needed free of charge. Any discount you get on your TV package or already have in place gets carried over onto your new 12month subscription.
Hope this helps someone.

Get as many as you can(up to 4 with 2TB) when you order it at the reduced rate of £30 because if you call back after contract starts, its then £99 per box. Make sure you get the boosters from the engineer (For Free!) when hes there if you need them, just in case you want to move a box to a different room and your wifi isnt great there so get him to install in the room with the worst wifi reception!

Phoned CPW as per your PM, this afternoon. I told them about the £26.31 deal above and after putting me on hold to speak to her manager, within 3 minutes i was signing up for it. They upgraded the Sky Q box to the 2tb version for free, and i added a mini Q box for upstairs for an extra £12. So my total is actually £38 a month now, which is just shy of 50% cheaper than my current VM package. I will wait and see what the service is like, especially the BB, and if i'm not keen i think i may just purchase a VU+ Duo box instead. Thanks for the help Prettyflyguy, props to you sir! ;)

No bother, good to see you got the 2TB upgrade even before adding multi room. I'm on Sky Fibre Pro package and cant fault them, get the max 80 mbps and 20mbps up but then i am only 100 or so metres away from the fibre cabinet.

Did they tell you what speeds you would achieve on your Fibre?

Gutted i cant take up this offer myself as i am paying around £34 a month for just my Sky line rental, calls and fibre :( and thats discounted bh £20 amonth.

I'm about the same as you, 100-150 meters away from the cab, and they have said I should expect 61-80mb. We will see though, tv is being installed on the 5th, but phone and I guess bb won't be until the 19th. I've not contacted VM yet to give them the good news lol

Thanks. Got the £26.31 deal with £10 connection charge.
Was going to go into Currys but contacted their CS who told me that I can also get it by ringing 0800 5424764.

The only thing to bear in mind which I didn't know is that you have to return the SkyQ box after you finish your contract.

I was under the impression this was for old sky customers who had left ATLEAST 12 months ago. That may be why mate
